My old chair was shedding and did not rise high enough, so I decided to get a new one that was not faux leather and had sufficient seat height. This one meets those criteria. It's too soon to give a meaningful rating in all categories, so this post will have greater significance if a year passes and I do not revise it. I am writing this in February 2023. OVERALL IMPRESSION: Less sturdy and average comfort compared to various chairs I have encountered at work. Seems reasonable for the cost, if it lasts for the warranted 5 years. I would not try holding anything or anyone bigger than a 5-year-old child in this chair. ABOUT ME: I am a 6-foot, 200-pound male. Reasonably athletic and intelligent. Capable with tools, instructions, problem solving, and common sense. I will return and edit this review if there are problems. ASSEMBLY: Easy, with some clear improvements over similar instructions and packaging from 10 years ago (no specific seller) that might help some but didn't really matter to me. For example: - Extra screws separated from main sets - I expect some folks get confused at having leftover parts. - Advice to get all the screws seated before tightening them. Common sense for those with mechanical experience, but not necessarily for everyone else. COMFORT: Initially seems fine for me. At the LOWEST setting, my feet are flat on the ground and legs parallel to the ground. This is not for short people. My glutes are far happier now than when I was sitting on a folding metal chair. - When reclining, the chair leans a little to the right (that's not a political statement). DURABILITY: The frame seems like it will take my weight, but anyone over the indicated limit or roughhousing in the chair might bend the frame, break a wheel, or cause other damage. I'm not certain if it will last five years or not. - There is some 'rocking' if you lean back while the tilt mechanism is locked. I'm not bothered by that, but it gives a feel of being less sturdy. - I have had similar wheels break, but only after a few years, and they are easy to replace. Time will tell. - When I recline, the front wheels lift off the ground more easily than I would expect. This could be a safety issue. - Also when I recline, I hear and feel what seems like either parts settling in or preparing to fail. Time will tell. ... show more

The package arrived before the scheduled time and we received a welcome letter online from the crew. The instructions were easy to follow and it is sooooooo comfortable. I love the way the arms can be up or down. Who ever thought of having it where it would rock was a wonderful addition. But if you don't want it to lock, just lock it into place. The lumber part really helps and I like that it is able to be repositioned. One of the things that was mentioned in the letter was if we didn't want the lumber part, it could be remove easily. The color is really pretty and I love that you have several choices to choose from. This was gotten for my sewing and craft room but when the time comes for another one, I look forward to purchasing more of them for our offices. I bought the BROWN Office Chair, Ergonomic Desk Chair with Adjustable Lumbar Support, High Back Mesh Computer. It is great! The seat is hard compared to my falling apart chair. Lots of padding and it's better on your butt. I especially like the fabric on the seat better than the pleather of my old chair. I felt like I was sliding out of my pleather chair but this Brown chair has fabric so I don't slide. I love the lift up arms and the lumbar support on the back of the chair actually works, plus I can rock back and forth if I want to. I'm going to order another one and keep it in the box for when this one gives out. I'm 5'5" about 130 pounds and somebody a lot bigger than me could fit in this chair. If you're shorter than 5'4", it might be too tall for you even at the lowest setting. ... show more
