As with any chair, some assembly required. However it’s all plug and play, no tools required. It took longer to unbox and unwrap it than it did to assemble. The seat is a nice firm foam plastic so my wife isn’t falling through the hole. And the smaller chair is much easier to move in & out of our 4’X5’ shower.     • advertised dimensions are wrong - does not fit over toilet
seat height is supposed to be adjustable 22-25 inches but it is not adjustable - barely 22 inches. Back is straight up, very uncomfortable ... do not recommend buying this chair.

If you have a disability but do your own ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) this shower chair is a wise choice. It may need further modification if you don't plan to use the commode that attaches to the bottom of the chair.

    • Dimensions not accurate
Although I liked the design and the construction quality, the chair would not fit over my 14 inch wide toilet. The description says it will fit over a toilet 15 inches wide. The frame is 15 inches wide but the axles extend about 1 inch each within the frame yielding a usable width of about 13 inches. The overall width of the chair is listed at 22 inches, the actual width is 24.5 inches. Also, the bags that are recommended to be purchased with the chair don’t fit the bucket. It seems to be an easy fix to correct these issues, but neither Amazon or OasisSpace has the interest in doing it.     • Very stable and sturdy!
I was looking for a chair with large wheels,. Assuming it would be much more stable and easier to navigate. I was right – this chair works great. Does exactly what we were hoping it would do. Better assembly instructions would have helped though

    • Misleading description, unfortunately
I was so looking forward to receiving this shower/commode wheelchair. I have multiple sclerosis and have lost a good amount of mobility. I need something like this to gain some independence back. Sadly, the chair needed to be returned immediately. Both the text description and the illustration measurements shown are false. This shower/commode/wheelchair is NOT 22" at it's widest! It is much wider and will not clear a 24" bathroom doorway. The whole purpose for purchasing was the 'claimed' narrow 22" width. Also, one footrest doesn't stay put. The mount is misaligned. The positives: it seems strong enough for average adult use, most of it's assembly was OK and the wheels moved well on smooth, hard surfaces. There is no way I would use this chair outside the home. The hassle of assembling, disassembling and returning this is truly disheartening. A major pain in the dupa. Thumbs down on seller's misinformation! Bought this shower chair and some of the screws were missing - contacted Ivy in their Customer Service Dept. She sent the missing pieces quickly. Great customer service and a very nice shower chair…strong, easy to maneuver and safe. The cheaper $$ chairs are horribly made and the chairs that cost twice as much as this one aren’t much different in style/quality. Satisfied with this purchase. ... show more
