Worth every penny. Visually appealing is avg to normal cast iron weight. Made-in is right up their with the best available cookware you can buy. Looking for a reasonable priced non-stick cast iron skillet. Look no further than this. In my opinion I feel the price is rather cheap for the value. This is the skillet you will own if taken care of for life. So mere $120 is a bargain. And none of the typical absorbed chemicals in just about every chinese alternative item on Amazon. Oh yeah it is also made stateside USA. Never go cheap on cookware that touches food you consume. Stay away from the chinese junk. ... show more

  • Great cast iron
Color: Linen
Got this to replace my Lodge pans. This cast iron is a bit different in quality if you're used to cheaper cast iron pans though, and Made-In is a brand that sells French-made culinary tools at lower costs direct to consumers. Things I really like about the pan: - Beautiful white enamel. - Made-In, French high quality construction. - Heavy cast iron retains heat really, really well. - Stays slick while cooking with good, high heat oil applied. - So easy to clean! If something gets stuck on the bottom, I use a metal fish spatula to scrape it off, then gentle soap and water. - Much more slick surface than Lodge. Not sanded smooth, just very slick finish. Things to watch out for: - This is not your regular, inexpensive cast-iron. So using coarse sea salt and a chain mail scrubber will chip the interior enamel. It would have been nice to have the instructions clarify the easy cleaning methods, as many people may be used to scrubbing their cast iron pans hard without soap to get them clean. Which are methods that would damage this pan. - The white enamel chips easily and inevitably shows a lot of scorching being ceramic and white and placed on high heat surfaces. - It's heavy and big. I used to own an 8-inch cast iron skillet that was fairly light and good for cooking for one. My family has grown, and I need something like this to cook breakfast. The weight of the pan isn't a problem necessarily, it's something to watch out for if it's an accessibility issue for you. - It retains heat really well. So one of the ways I test pans are to cook eggs in them: for steel and aluminum pans, I usually turn the induction heat up high with a lid on to quickly warm up the pan, then remove the lid and lower the heat rapidly to cook eggs but not brown them. With this cast iron, I just keep the heat on low because of the heat retention. Does just as good of a job, if needing different methods. Overall, I think this is a really great cast iron pan that I plan to use more and more outdoors as the weather heats up in the PNW. I have a few other Made-In kitchen tools, and for the price, the quality you get is truly outstanding. I'll try to post a video update soon. ... show more

Terrible quality. Everything sticks even with a lot of oil...... Would not recommend!

  • Sticky non-stick pan
Color: Blue
This pan is kinda expensive, so I expected that it's non-stick surface would work flawlessly. That is not the case. We've used this pan on several occasions and it frequently has issues with food getting stuck to the surface--even when cooking with copious amounts of oil. The most disappointing situation is when we try to cook scrambled eggs--it always gets stuck on the pan and require lots of scrubbing to remove the burnt bits of egg. Overall, not the best buy. ... show more
