The media could not be loaded. Right out of the box, this thing is amazing! Great price, great quality! It is cutting fast and easily on 3mm and am trying 6mm now. As you can see in the video, etching is a breeze on 3mm birch plywood @ 1200mm/min @ 60% power.

Ihave been working on setting this 10W laser to cut 3mm plywood, and had to make a 2 pass at 150mm/m to cut thru, compared to my ortur 10W laser that cut the samepiece of plywood in 1 pass at 500mm/m. So it can be no where near a 10W laser module.

    • Decent laser module upgrade for a 3018 mill

This laser seems to be pretty well made and performs nice. It has it's own built in air assist but I do wish it had the option for an external air pump. The laser head doesn't have enough on it to mount and aftermarket air cone to it. I removed 1 star for the lack of that feature. It engraves and cuts well but I still had a bit of burnt edges. This is a sign the built in air assist isn't powerful enough to task. Installation on a 3018 CNC mill spindle holder was a breeze and was up and running in a matter of minutes. Pretty much as plug n play as it gets. I would recommend this laser if you have a bench top mill or engraver. ... show more

It was a hassle setting it up with my laser bed but very much a worthy upgrade coming from a 5W laser. The engraving I’m able to do with this laser are deeper now, deep enough to cut out custom wood puzzles. For working with metals besides aluminum 10W is nowhere near enough power. But this laser is good with a ton of softer materials and cuts deep. ... show more

Fits my laser engraver with no problem. I did take me a little while to get the wires set up but once I did it worked with no issues. I really like that the safety glasses come with it because I’m always loosing them.

I e only had a chance to use it a few times, but so far I’ve cut cleanly through 6 oz leather in 3 passes, and I could probably do it in less passes if I slow down the speed and up the power a bit, but I like faster speeds and lower power it prevent over burn. Also did a test engrave in the included dog tag, which came out really good. Also did a speed/power grid in a price of wood and that came out great too. One downside, however is that the description says it comes with an adjustable holder, but maybe the item was updated and some info wasn’t properly deleted from the description because it’s not in the listing pictures. ... show more
