The media could not be loaded. As my title says, they are great, but there are some small issues and/or nitpicks I’ve compiled during the month and few days I’ve had them using them daily. There are a few points that I will elaborate on toward the end, denoted with an asterisk (*). Also to be clear, having seen multiple people ask, it is two 30ft rolls that give you the 60ft claim. PROS: - Well packaged with a good in-box presentation. - Despite COVID causing shipping delays, I still received it in the mail a day earlier than Amazon’s original estimated delivery day even opting for standard shipping. - Simple remote control comes installed with a CR2025 battery and works as long as it’s pointed in the general direction of the IR receiver. - Unlike some even cheaper options, these don’t experience a drop in power towards the end of the strips 30ft run. - The strips use (IIRC) a 4-pin connection to plug into the Controller and beings LEDs are polarity sensitive, there are alignment arrows so you know which way it is supposed to go without extra fiddling. - The quick start guide does have a few grammatical errors for the English language, but otherwise explains the setup process well. - The LED Controller is Bluetooth capable with the “Ehome Light” app, giving you access to more features (and a QR code is embedded in the quick start guide to jump to the App Store page if you have an iPhone or device that recognizes and scans QR code’s in the camera app). - *The LED chips are very bright at max setting. I can touch any chip and they stay cool to the touch. The Controller and power supply do get a little warm but is normal and to be expected. - *The adhesive backing seems sufficient and should work without any issues for no more than the strips weigh. CONS: - For people who have a sensitive nose.. when you first open the package, all I could smell is something similar to butane (it smells like the Flex Seal that comes in a paint can). It’s merely an ingredient in the adhesive agent, but took about 48hrs for smell to completely dissipate from my room. - The power cable supplied is not long enough to plug directly into a power outlet if you plan on sticking them up close to your ceiling in a normal 9ft tall room. I’d recommend using a short extension cord instead of trying to find another with the same connector in case the power output specs differ from the one supplied with this product. - The LED chips are placed on a 2” spacing; whereas most strips I’ve seen have them placed on a 1” spacing. This does not effect the product overall, just something to note for people who want a more tightly packed light strip. - *The remote does not let you dim the lights as much as the Ehome Light app allows. If you dim them lower using the app, you are limited to simple RBGW (see attached video). - *Features like the “7-color fade” does not allow you to adjust the speed unless you use the app. - The Controller does not have adhesive to stick it to anything. I’d recommend dual sided tape or similar so it’s not hanging freely. - APP SPECIFIC CON: not sure for Android users, but on iOS devices, if you swipe up to close the app in the app switcher, your custom color presets will reset to what the app defaults with. The app hasn’t been updated in over a year so I doubt the dev will patch that. It’s a universal app made in China used by every Bluetooth capable LED light strip controller on the market and I have seen at least 5 other apps on the App Store that are down to every nook and cranny 110% the exact same app but with a different name. Overall, they are great lights, but your mileage may vary depending on what you intend to use them for. The fact that you get everything you need to get up and running and a total of 60ft, I do recommend this product; however, if you are willing to spend a little more, there are more feature-packed (and likely higher quality) options available. —— To elaborate: - The end of the power cable that plugs into your normal 110v AC household power outlet is a big brick because it is a power converter. LEDs cannot run off AC power without flickering issues. This brick serves to convert the AC power to 12v DC power, which is all the chips need to operate. Power conversion of any type will generate heat, but is nothing to worry about. If you want to be extra safe, just make sure fabrics like drapery don’t come in contact with the brick for any extended time. - When I received this product, I knew I was going to be moving in a few months, so I used a piece of painters tape every foot to hold the strips up temporarily. Then when I get my own room, I can properly install them because I do not know if it stays sticky once you’ve pulled them off once. The next two are aimed at anyone who is going to use the app. If you’ll only use the remote, you don’t have to worry about this part. - As demonstrated in the video, color blending is done by the Controller supplying two diodes with a varying amount of voltage. For example, if you use the app and select a purple, it powers both blue and red diodes to different intensities based on the shade you want. When you set the brightness to something lower than 5% or so on the app, it will no longer power both diodes. So in this example, the purple I’m going for is a blacklight (on a RGB 0-255 scale, it’s 255 Blue, 50ish Red). Because the blue is the primary driving color of the blend, only the blue stays on. - Also demonstrated in the video, you can adjust the speed of the 7 color fade, but do be aware at a slow speed, the transition may appear choppy. And as mentioned in the bullet point prior, if the brightness is set too low, it becomes even more choppy. Again, these issues are only something you may experience if you use the app, it is not fault of the light strips or anything included in the kit. Now it’s up to you, friend. only one side of lights came on, remote didnt work to. turn off. main unit easily became very very hot within the first 5mins of turning on. the app was unresponsive and the only option to turn off was to completely unplug from outlet. The seller was quick to respond to email with another replacement but I declined and will try a different brand. Also the instructions were very basic with no troubleshooting info. Need connectors if going around doors/angles and different lengths after cutting which was not told in advertisement. ... show more

Purchased these lights to brighten and enhance my husbands man cave he has lots of baseball memorabilia , and all kids of posable figurines to display.. Absolutely amazed at the quality of these lights for the price! They were So easy to set up, and install, I was able to do it with the help of my 10 year old, and surprise hubby in about an hour.. Super strong adhesive back tape that sticks very nicely and securely I had them installed over 3 weeks now. and they’re working great. Love the remote control option to change the colors from across the room.. I used Velcro to attach the remote to the coffee table so it never gets long (since it’s very compact) they are super cool!! I bought traditional rope lights, put them up in the recessed ceiling, and found out the remote to change the colors wouldn’t work while standing on the ground - has to be pointed directly at the plug, which is inside the wall in the ceiling. Ugh. So, I returned them and purchased these strip lights. Loved that they have an app that you can use from the other side of the room. So I go up the ladder again. Install these lights all around the recessed ceiling (no small feat for a 5’3” person). They look amazing! I download the app and start playing around with the colors, it’s perfect. I walk away and come back about 15 MINUTES LATER...one section is not working. COME ON. It makes me want to cry to think about having to do this whole process again. ... show more

Because they can dance with the beautiful strip lights. Especially in the night time we do not need turn on the regular lights! It connects my living room and the stairs at the same time, very beautiful. You can choose different colors, at least 20 color variations, and very bright, lighting up my house. The installation is very simple, not need to cut anything, great 👍. Now is the second time I have bought the led lights and ailbton led strips, which are better than all my previous ones. First of all, it has 65.6ft long led lights with no strong taste. The glue is very good and strong. The package of it is very classy. Secondly, it has two remote controls, which is one of the reasons that attracted me to buy it. If you lost one remote control, you can have another to use .
