  • Missing lid
Arrived without its lid. :(

  • What a value!
Well built and of respectable thickness, no I don't know the gauge, but in my opinion it is of adequate thickness to resist easy denting, etc. I confirmed that the thermometer that came with mine was dead on and needed no calibration. My only complaint, though not serious enough to take away a star was that there were no instructions as to what order to put on the spacers, o-rings etc. to mount the thermometer an valve. A few times trying different configurations and I successfully had a perfectly leak free pot, which I tested by bringing the water up to 175 degrees, which is hotter than I need for my mashes. ... show more

Poorly manufactured. Hardware doesn't work. I tried 2 kettles and spent many hours working on them and they still leaked.

  • it's just works fine. Lighter metal than expected though
It was difficult to make sure it was not leaking, the mounting parts are a bit weird and the rubber seal as tendency to pop out of its place... do not tight it too much! Once it's done, it's just works fine. Lighter metal than expected though. Thank you

  • a nice big brew kettle with the features that i wanted.
I have to agree with the other reviewers, there are no instructions that come with this thing. You'd be amazed how many times i put temperature gauge and the the spigot spout on to create a drip free brew kettle. Hours and 4-5 times. Originally had made me mad but once you get a drip free configuration and use this kettle to brew i was impressed. I did extract had some caramelizing on the bottom. Did a five gallon extract batch. Size is perfect also for a 5 gallon batch of all grain as well, on of the reason why i bought it actually was it can be scaled. Temperature gauge was spot on. At the cost of an 8 gallon brew kettle, the different configurations we're not a big deal to, because this was one of the biggest brew kettles that was in my price range. You shouldn't have to fix the o rings once you get a drip free setup. I would recommend this product. ... show more

  • Just what I needed.
No, this isn't the most heavy duty pot on the market, but it does exactly what I need it to do. Have brewed 4 batches in it and couldn't be happier. Solidly constructed, thermometer and ball valve are shaving tons of time and effort off of my brew day. Really like this pot. Great value for the money. ... show more

Leaks through valve port. Added extra silicone washers and still wouldn't stop. Requesting a return. Too pricy not to work.

  • total waste of money
Cheap and thin gage metal or tin. Very low grade quality. One of the handles broke off during my first brew batch. only cooked 4 gallons and the handle could not support. Very unhappy. total waste of money. Looked like handles were barely tacked on with spot weld. Kettle like this should have a solid handle with a sturdy mechanical connection. Really can't say how disappointed and ripped off I feel. Don't bother with this one Thanks ! ... show more
