I love this cookware. Fifty years ago I bought my first piece. Twenty five years ago my second and this year my third (and last) piece. Even though the pieces are heavy, they cook uniformly, hold temperature we’ll, and I believe impart a deep flavor to whatever it is I am cooking. As enameled cast iron they clean with the merest of effort and never need “seasoning”. They go from stovetop to oven and with tops hold the spattering down. My only “complaint” is that they hold the heat a bit too well and take a long time to cool before putting in the fridge. Still, since they are fancy enough to use as a party server, there is no need for a warmer on the buffet. Best kitchen investment. ... show more

I used this Braiser as soon as I got it. Immediately I used to make fettuccine Alfredo next day pot roast. I seared the pot roast in it then stuck in the oven for 3 hours. Both times everything washed off like magic. I was skeptical at first. My first time owning a Le Creuset. Well everything that is said about them is true. My wife wanted a large braiser, for company, but we now pull it out often. It holds heat well, it is spacious, allowing for fewer spills over the side, yet not deep like a saucepan.
