Cons: 1. You can just slightly see the individual lights within the rope. 2. The white isn’t just pure white but that’s what you should expect for LED lights 3. NO POWER ADAPTER!!! (But it did provide remote unlike other buyers) Had to find my own Pros: 1. The music feature is really cool and for $30 it’s a pretty nice purchase 2. It can get pretty bright! (Wouldn’t say light up a whole room bright but it’s still bright) 3. Having the phone app makes it easily usable and has nice customizable colors Overall this would be a 3.5 stars out of 5. We used these to add lighting under our cabinets in an old Airstream. Things to be aware of: (1) The light is even and is not harsh when the light strip is clearly visible. No irritating separate LEDs to look at. Nice. (2) It is not very bright. We tried these with, and without, a separately purchased dimmer, and the highest setting is not optimal task lighting. It's better than nothing, but even with a regular switch, the lumens are what I consider adequate, not optimal, for food prep. (3) The clips are insufficient. With gravity at work, the tape sags. Should ship with more clips. We are adding double sided tape to hold up the strip more securely and uniformly. (4) This strip works well with a dimmer. Some LEDs designed to work with dimmers are a bit squirrelly. This strip is rock solid. (5) For task lighting, I wish I'd shopped for a dual-temperature light. Many other lights in our trailer have dual temperature LEDs, both warm and daylight. Using the daylight setting, they are more useful as task lights. They appear to emit greater lumens. Even if this is an illusion, it effectively provides better light for tasks. To have the option of daylight for our countertops would have been perfect. But if there's only one temp, I wanted warm. That was more important to me for daily living in the space when traveling. For my home, I would seek out dual temp neon strips. If I find them, may replace the one I've installed. ... show more

Fabulous value in lighting. 12v is great for cars, motorcycles, boats, etc. . Includes brackets/screws for mounting neon rope. Note: this product is led lights enclosed in silicon. Double sided tape, glue will not adhere. What I love about this light is it’s nice diffusion. Bright and beautiful. Can be used to create neon lights(YouTube will give you insight), as well as lighting to shoot film, video, and stills. Because the rope bends, unique shapes can be made creating unique catch lights in the eyes/reflections. Get creative and make a ring light for shooting. Take some plywood, cut a hole in the center to place lens, route a groove for precise lines, or use the included brackets. Blackout the wood, install the neon rope and start shooting. I’m from a commercial photography background...I love the possibilities. Other kits include ac adaptors, this kit (light only) also has 10 brackets, ten wires for making connections when cutting to length(Yes it can be cut, watch video suggested in description), silicone end caps, silicone wire end caps(two holes so you can slide the end cap over the wiring). The attached photos include the warm neon light attached to the underside of my dock...fabulous lighting on my boat! I also made a lighted drink holder starting with a Attwood lighted stainless steel holder, removing the existing LED lighting assembly, then cutting down the rope light so it’s snug in the bottom of the holder. I used white RTV sealant to seal the ends, top and bottom edge of the rope light, ran the wires out of the existing hole. It’s actually too bright so I’m going to put a voltage reduction on it. The final photo is using the neon rope under the gunwhales and as an added bonus, I lit my bildge area. Included is a shot of the shortest piece that can be cut(without the silicone jacket) so you can see the soldering points. This section is roughly 1” and is quite bright for such a small section. A little familiarity with low voltage lighting will help on your installation. I wanted mine “hard wired” to my light switch for my patio fan light so I purchased a hard wired power brick for LED lights. Since I had four lights, I got a wire block to tie all the wires in to the power brick. The lights have nice lockable (I think they are 3.5mm ) ends but I cut mine short since I got some generic male ends for the wiring from the power brick to the lights. I used furnace thermostat wiring which is colored Red and White instead of Red and Black. ... show more

So I've had this for a month and have tried to hang them several times. On the floor they still sit. The light quality is amazing but there's no good way to hang them. The brackets & tiny screws they come with suck, and there's NOTHING else that will hang them. I've tried everything imaginable and nothing works. Great flexibility in most directions, except one. Hard to do for tight turns when laid flat. Need a larger radius to make a 90 degree turn. Well made.
