This is the best, handiest phone mount, magnetic or otherwise I have used. One caveat, I'm using a case with the built in flush circular magnet, but I think the included mountable magnet ring may be even stronger. Installation on an air vent is easy. There is a little hook on the end that attaches to the inside of the vent fin so it goes on and stays on secure. You align the ring base for best angle/view and just attach your phone. It is self aligning. When you need your phone it comes right off but in the meantime it stays put. I can't express how disappointed I have been with other models or types. The non-obtrusive styles are weak and your phone easily falls off. The ball style holds your phone securely but you have to mount a honkingly large base on the back of your phone or case to have something to stick to. I really recommend this product not just for the functionality, which is great, but the price point which is great too. ... show more

I was a little concerned buying another vent-clip mount as I’ve had some issues before, but this mount twists to lock onto the vent and is incredibly sturdy so far. It also fits my vertical vent in my Subaru which was also a concern. The magnet is strong enough to keep my phone firmly attached but still easy enough to lift my phone away with one hand.
