I’ve tried the magnetic one you slide into the vent, I’ve tried the suction cup for the windshield and even the adhesive suction cup for the dash and none seemed to work. After reading over reviews and seeing this had a metal hook to attach to the vent, I figured this be more secure than the last and I could control how snug I’d initially want it to be in there. while inexpensive, this holder has a well-designed adjustable "hook" that captures one vane in the vent louvre. and after adjustment the mount doesnt shake or sag at all with my small-ish iphone. and it releases the phone easily too. I recently bought this car phone holder, and while I ultimately love the product, the installation process was a bit tricky at first. The instructions weren’t as clear as I’d hoped, and I had to spend some time figuring out how to attach it properly to my dashboard. There are a lot of adjustable parts, so it took a little trial and error to get everything in the right position. Once I got it set up, though, I was really impressed. The phone holder is sturdy, and it holds my phone securely, even during bumpy rides. It’s also very versatile, adjusting easily to fit different phone sizes and angles. The grip is strong, and I love the hands-free convenience it provides. Despite the confusing setup, it’s been working great since then, and I’m happy with how it keeps my phone accessible and safe while driving. If you're someone who doesn't mind a little extra time figuring out installation, I highly recommend it! But be prepared for a bit of a learning curve. ... show more

I love this phone holder. Used it for the first time today. Easy to install. I have my phone in a wallet carrier, and only hoped I could find a holder that would accommodate the width and thickness. This opens up to accept the wallet and phone, and then can be adjusted easily to hold it tightly. Much safer than juggling your phone by hand when you need to navigate. Stop looking and comparing-this is the ONE you want. Immediately out of the box, you feel the quality difference from the cheaper made mounts priced similar. It’s heavy and solid. The button to release your phone moves so smooth. As a delivery driver, I’ve tried several mounts and hated all of them by the end of the trip. No joke. My truck driver husband lets me try out his rejects and I reject them too, LoL. Not this one. Also, please note I have a Loopy case and that has been a secondary struggle to fit my phone in the mount properly, besides positioning in my car to avoid the touchscreen or not being able to adjust the vents. It’s solidly locked on with a wisely-designed adjusting hook that locks to your vent and disperses the weight evenly. It hits all the marks. Nice work, guys! ... show more
