At first this didn’t look like it would work on my deep vents, but then it did and now I love it so I bought a second one for my mother. It comes with intuitive instructions for installation, and shows you how to mount the hook onto the AC vent. What is not so intuitive is the phone release button hidden on the back of the top of the phone holder, but once you know that it is there it becomes second-nature to use. The stability is good once properly secured. Performance of the ball and pivot point is easy to adjust and will serve your visibility well. Once it is secure, there is no flopping around, and the phone will hold in place at the exact angle you need it to. This is important for safety, which is my biggest concern when I am using GPS on my 5.8in tall, depth 0.28in, and 2.8 inch wide iPhone 12 Pro. It also is confirmed to hold my mother’s iPhone 14 with her thick phone case attached (see pics in her 2018 Honda CR-V). In conclusion, this car mount phone holder is safe and fulfills its purpose well. It has everything you need for the job at a reasonable price and makes it easy for me to recommend. The Lamicall Phone Holder has a secure hook which is very easy to install. The phone sticks out away from the heater/air conditioning vent so the phone doesn't get such direct blasts of air, and the vent is not blocked so it is still able to give me air flow. The holder is easy to operate and has many positions just by rotating it. It holds the phone well up into the air so it's easy to see directions when I am driving. It's a great design. My old phone holder would pop out of the vent if I made a hard turn and it would end up flying across the car. This phone holder holds tight. I like that it doesn't have to be sticky-taped to the dashboard. I have a ring on the back of my phone but it still fits in the holder. There is room for a cord to be plugged in. I recently bought this car phone holder, and while I ultimately love the product, the installation process was a bit tricky at first. The instructions weren’t as clear as I’d hoped, and I had to spend some time figuring out how to attach it properly to my dashboard. There are a lot of adjustable parts, so it took a little trial and error to get everything in the right position. Once I got it set up, though, I was really impressed. The phone holder is sturdy, and it holds my phone securely, even during bumpy rides. It’s also very versatile, adjusting easily to fit different phone sizes and angles. The grip is strong, and I love the hands-free convenience it provides. Despite the confusing setup, it’s been working great since then, and I’m happy with how it keeps my phone accessible and safe while driving. I have an iPhone 16 Pro but with an Otterbox case so I cannot use most Mag Safe magnets because my case does not have magnet on the case and I do not want to stick a magnet on the outside of the case. This phone holder is perfect because even though my phone become thick with the case, it easily fits in the phone holder. The phone holder has a clasp that is easily adjustable and can fit an almost any car vent. It is also easy to tighten and won't fall while you are driving!
