This is the best car phone holder I have used. I have tried so many different variations of the suction cup, the weird sticky thing that sits on the dash, and even other vent phone holders. NONE of them worked nearly as well as this one does. The suction cups work until the weather changes or they just decide to fall off randomly. I have even seen them melt in the summer. Those ones that sit on the day get dirty the second you move them and washing them never really gets them to be all that sticky again. Plus your phone ends up rattling all over the place with them. This combination of holding at the vent and using a magnet is awesome. They get super snug against the vent and you can tell it is really gripping onto it. The magnets are strong enough to handle the rattle in my hard suspension car. I have had it pop off some times but only on a really bad road where nothing else was going to hold it anyway. Pros: Easy to set up. I like being able to just stick the plates between my phone and its case. They even work through my dual layer Spigen case which was a concern originally. Keep the phone in place. No real complaint with the phone moving. The magnet seems to have enough give that the phone can move but it pulls it right back after. Easy to adjust. As long as the vent can move in the direction I need it then this thing can face wherever I need it. Cons You lose a vent…. Duh. For me it isn’t much of an issue. I drive a convertible so AC isn’t always being used but I could see it being a sticking point for others. Only 2 plates. Now this one is a bit unique to me. I have a personal phone and a work phone so I am using both plates on my phone while my wife(two phones too) doesn’t get any… It’s in my car so I wanted them lol. Upon arrival of this I thought there was a possibility that is was a knockoff. It did not include the Certificate of Authenticity and the metal disc and rectangle did not have a hole in them. The box said that the Certificate of Authenticity would be included, but it was not. I went to the Spigen site and started a live chat with customer service and told her I was concerned that I had received a knockoff. She told me that if I had purchased from their amazon store that it would be genuine, she gave me the link, and it was in fact here where I had purchased it from. If your box doesn't contain a Certificate of Authenticity and your metal attachments don't have holes you're item is still authentic. Just thought I'd add this bit of info in case people were questioning it when they received their item. On to the review. This vent mount works amazingly well. It holds my heavy iPhone 6plus with out a problem, even down very bumpy roads. It works through the low profile case I'm currently using. I put the circle disc inside my case, I did not use the adhesive because I'm currently waiting for a new Spigen case and didn't want to use the disc on a case that I won't be using for more than a few days. It still works perfectly through the case. I'm able to see notifications that come up on my phone easily with a quick glance over. I just touch the phone the holder and boom, it's attached. Simply pull off the phone and be on your way. It's perfect! I am not a review writer. However, if a product comes along and I feel like I can help another potential buyer then I will offer some insight. First, I have purchased and used two different products in the category. I bought an iottie and then replaced it was a new model from the same company. Both were fantastic products with great design. But they both failed after almost a year of use. The sticky attachment with a suction seal can be mounted and stuck to a flat surface in your vehicle. It works great until it doesn’t. The sticky substance begins to wear and finally it falls off from the wait of the phone. I have tried to re-stick with a new piece but it does not hold the unit. It falls off. Also, I live in extreme temperatures. In S. Florida, car interiors reach temperatures of well over 100. This product does not deal with any issues like stickers and suction. It is so simple. Magnets. One magnet attaches to the air vent. I was skeptical. A flat magnet sticks on the back of the phone. The large magnet holds the phone through a case with no problem. The vent magnet slides onto a vent fin nice and firmly. No issues. The product came to me with 2 of everything in the box. So far I am loving this. Once you have a phone mount, it’s hard to drive without one. I have to conduct a lot of business in my truck in traffic. Using this product has me back up and my phone securely mounted on the dash. This product is worth every Penney especially when you are getting 2 in the box.
