I purchased this item for a trip out of state and needed a phone car mount holder that would be convenient, quick and leave no evidence behind that I even had a mount in the rental car I was using for the week. This fit the bill. There are quite a few + points that this mount has. I'll list them: + There are 2 different sized, very thin, metal plates that can attach to the mount. This is great because 1) I was able to use one for my phone and my wife could use one for hers. 2) because the metal plates are SO thin, we were able to install them under our Note 4 and Note Edge battery covers with no noticeable bulk at all, and not stuck to the actual phones or cases + The magnet is STRONG. It is so strong my Note 4, with the metal plate behind the battery cover and the phone in a Spigen case, was able to be held in place on the mount. I eventually just put the magnet between my case and the phone (for my own peace of mind). On some days, though, I do put it back behind the battery cover when I have only a thin aluminum and gold bumper on the phone + The mount can act as a stand as well. I wanted to watch a few vids during lunch while out of town and instead of pulling my tablet out, I just attached the stand and watched what I needed to in landscape mode. Very convenient, since I don't have a kickstand on my case. + The metal plates DO have a 3m adhesive (initially covered), in case you have an iPhone or another phone without a removable battery cover or no case on it, and you have to stick the plate on physically. + Has 2 different sized vent slots. This comes in handy if you have slots that are one of these sizes. If it came with just the tiny tiny slot size, then you might not be able to get on thicker vents and visa versa. In any case, having multiple sizes in one product is a great thing. I have been a fan of Spigen for a few years now and the quality of this mount is top notch. Although it APPEARS to be the same exact mount that I have seen sold by other companies on Amazon, it still stands out a bit in that it comes nicely boxed, with OEM Spigen branding. Upon arrival of this I thought there was a possibility that is was a knockoff. It did not include the Certificate of Authenticity and the metal disc and rectangle did not have a hole in them. The box said that the Certificate of Authenticity would be included, but it was not. I went to the Spigen site and started a live chat with customer service and told her I was concerned that I had received a knockoff. She told me that if I had purchased from their amazon store that it would be genuine, she gave me the link, and it was in fact here where I had purchased it from. If your box doesn't contain a Certificate of Authenticity and your metal attachments don't have holes you're item is still authentic. Just thought I'd add this bit of info in case people were questioning it when they received their item. On to the review. This vent mount works amazingly well. It holds my heavy iPhone 6plus with out a problem, even down very bumpy roads. It works through the low profile case I'm currently using. I put the circle disc inside my case, I did not use the adhesive because I'm currently waiting for a new Spigen case and didn't want to use the disc on a case that I won't be using for more than a few days. It still works perfectly through the case. I'm able to see notifications that come up on my phone easily with a quick glance over. I just touch the phone the holder and boom, it's attached. Simply pull off the phone and be on your way. It's perfect! I am not a review writer. However, if a product comes along and I feel like I can help another potential buyer then I will offer some insight. First, I have purchased and used two different products in the category. I bought an iottie and then replaced it was a new model from the same company. Both were fantastic products with great design. But they both failed after almost a year of use. The sticky attachment with a suction seal can be mounted and stuck to a flat surface in your vehicle. It works great until it doesn’t. The sticky substance begins to wear and finally it falls off from the wait of the phone. I have tried to re-stick with a new piece but it does not hold the unit. It falls off. Also, I live in extreme temperatures. In S. Florida, car interiors reach temperatures of well over 100. This product does not deal with any issues like stickers and suction. It is so simple. Magnets. One magnet attaches to the air vent. I was skeptical. A flat magnet sticks on the back of the phone. The large magnet holds the phone through a case with no problem. The vent magnet slides onto a vent fin nice and firmly. No issues. The product came to me with 2 of everything in the box. So far I am loving this. Once you have a phone mount, it’s hard to drive without one. I have to conduct a lot of business in my truck in traffic. Using this product has me back up and my phone securely mounted on the dash. This product is worth every Penney especially when you are getting 2 in the box.
