This holder does everything it claims....seems reasonably well manufactured and is very easy to put your phone in and out which is NEW to me cuz the "gripper" types require both hands and half the time I have items or something or opening the door etc. I heartily recommend this product.

I got this mount because my wife has one of those phones that unfold and needs a large mounting bracket. It holds the phone very securely and the attachment to the vent is a little tricky but not too hard. Works well but you need to use 2 hands to get it in place. I am a real customer and no one asked me to write this. Hope it helps ... show more

Minor adjustment to allow for the case was all it took. Holds the phone well - at first I was apprehensive to put the mount near a window, but it is really solid and holds the phone well. When I need a new one - I look for another OATSBASF gravity mount.

This product is a hard one for me to rate because I like its functionality as a phone holder very much, but it does not work for my vehicles. I very much like the mechanical functionality of this product and how it naturally adjusts and holds onto your phone in response to placing it in the holder. It's also very solid mechanically. It doesn't appear to have issues with the moving parts being inhibited by internal friction or cold environments. On the other hand and unfortunately for me, the attachment to the car vent louvers is not very solid on my vehicle. The attachment piece does not extend deeply enough into the vent, past the outer set of louvers, to grab the interior set of louvers and, thereby, stablize the product while it hangs from the vent. It hangs rather loosely. The hanging is worsened by inserting a phone. Because the outer louvers are not especially tight on my older vehicle, they fall when they try to bear the weight of the mount, and that problem is only worsened by inserting my phone. Before I bought the unit, I saw one reviewer remark on the same issue. I didn't pay it much mind. I thought that the attachment would suffice on my vehicle, and I was (and still am) enamored of the phone mounts mechanical functionality for holding the phone. I was wrong on that issue. It never held my phone very sturdy but was able to rig it to work. Then today the disc fell off, and the adapter that attaches to your car started to come apart. So it's pretty useless at this point.
