I have one of those $60 phone mounts with a telescoping arm, wireless charging, etc. It's so cumbersome, and falls off all the time because of the weight of it + my phone. And now that I have a popsocket, the wireless charging doesn't work. When it did stick, my phone was always angled a bit downward, because the mount couldn't bend up any further. It also blocked a lot of my view, because my dashboard is way too curved for mounting. So I had it on my windshield. That's where the Popsocket mount comes in. It stuck immediately, and can balance itself in such a way that my huge, heavy phone doesn't pull it down! My phone takes up very little of my windshield now. And it's so flexible in terms of its positioning, that I can put it in a much better spot. As for charging, now I can just use a cable. So it works better in nearly every way. This is my second time buying this item. The first one lasted about three years. At the 2 1/2 year mark it lost some of the ability to stay in one place so when I would make a hard turn, it would kind of swing around, but it wasn’t until a few days ago that it actually Came off of my dashboard. I’m happy with this overall. The suction is working great on my dash and stays put. I like the design and it seems sturdy and durable. My only complaint is that sometimes my phone will start to lean to the right or left quite a bit and once fell out of the holder, so I do feel like o have to get the positioning precise sometimes, but overall it works well for what I needed and frees up my air vents. ... show more

I just had my second One break on me in less than 2 1st 1 broke in July. Maybe because of the Sun constantly beating on it on the dashboard, but I purchased my second one and here we are in April and it broke once again because it could not handle the heat of the Sun. What is the point of making? These these items, if they cannot withstand being on the dashboard all year round. There is bound to be heat from sitting under the wind shield. And if these things cannot last the April sun, let alone the July sun. Then how are you allowed to sell them? I want a full refund because this product sucks. I recommend that no one else by this. I really like other popsocket items I have purchased but this one was ultimately an expensive waste. It worked well for about 6 months and then the piece that the popsocket sits in got loose and spins around so wildly that it turns upside down and drops your phone. I’ve even tightened the screw underneath and within 2 uses it is back to being non-functional and spinning wildly. This is poorly made/designed and frankly dangerous since it is intended to be used in a vehicle. Do not recommend purchasing or using this item. ... show more

This was a decent product. It adhered to my vehicle just fine and has been going strong since installation. The mount is sturdy and the parts that are supposed to move, move well. A year later the "U" shaped thingy that holds onto my pop socket now spins freely. The problem with that is if I put my phone in it, it often spins around and drops right out.
