Portrait mode! I have always disliked how widescreen CarPlay units were. This device is like a portable tablet on my dash. Stuck on easy, and hasn't fallen off yet. Connects very quickly to Bluetooth and I have it wired to my aux port. Great audio quality overall and the display is crystal clear. Looks nice and a definite upgrade over my stock radio. I got this for my car 2017 Legacy, and it's been a total game changer. The original computer and screen that came with the car are not compatible with current IOS and Android systems so getting this installed was a huge upgrade! This was purchased to add smart-driving features to an older vehicle in a cost-effective manner. It met and exceeded all expectations. I haven't been able to test the Carplay functionality, but it was easy to set up with Android auto and provides a nice, large screen for easy navigation use. I bought this to use in my semi truck instead of swapping out the stereo. Before mounting it, I plugged it in to set the settings & connected my phone so I wouldn’t have to mess with it once mounted. I was glad to see this unit came with multiple mounts & all necessary cables. I decided to use the magnet vent mount, Bluetooth to the CarPlay screen & aux cord to my stereo. The first day this worked fine for about 5 hours. The next day it started glitching after 1.5 hours. The screen went blank, then the whole unit would shut down & restart every few minutes. Eventually it stopped showing the CarPlay screen (maps, music, etc.) but I could still hear the music. When I would click on the screen's CarPlay button it would go to the menu for Bluetooth settings. Yes I used the included power cable. Yes I tried unplugging & restarting. Yes I tried “forget device” & reconnecting Bluetooth. Yes I have a new enough phone that is updated(iphone14). Yes I tried a software update on the unit(it even stopped working while trying to update). This is no good to me at this point since I use CarPlay for the maps & music control which doesn’t show up on the screen. I have tried multiple units & thought this was going to be the best one but I guess not. Also, One feature that this does NOT have but I’ve seen on other units is the ability to set audio output to Bluetooth while also having audio input set to Bluetooth which is good because you don’t need the aux cable so there’s only one cable visible (power cable). ... show more

    • Great for older vehicles without CarPlay. Could use a better charger.
I bought this to add CarPlay to a 2015 Kia Soul. Returned a competitor solution and this is great. The magnet mount with the vent is strong and doesn’t move, and the ability to use in portrait or landscape is amazing. The screen size is about the same as other vehicles or you can go larger with other models. Be sure to read the instructions when installing. I do wish it included a cigarette lighter adapter that had an additional USB port for charging the phone and providing power to the unit. Using this through Bluetooth and the lag is very minimal. Very glad I found this and a great value for the money. Just please upgrade the charger to allow simultaneous power to screen and charging the phone. ... show more
