  • Just get it!
Wow. I thought people were just exaggerating this product but, turns out I was the one missing out. Been using subs on all my. Vehicles with no epicenter and always thought it was good enough. But no. The clarity this device provides to my subs is INSANE. Now my lows are actually low low. Love it. Worth every penny. Now my mexican songs get the bass they needed ... show more

  • Awesome!
I had the indash version but regretfully sold it because I thought that I was done with huge sub systems. Well, the factory sub in my current vehicle wasn't enough for me. This unit seems to go deeper than the indash unit. Works the same at almost half the cost. You can't go wrong with this...

  • Audiophile here, My expectations were exceeded.
This device does what it says it does. You can of course over do it. You do not need to turn the knob all the way up in order to feel like you are getting your moneys worth. You can leave it low. I never turn the knob above 50%. This device does a FANTASTIC job of recreating bass in tracks that do not have it. I was extremely skeptical. I thought that there is no way that they could just realtime add bass and it would sound nice. I thought that there would be timing issues or some detectable disgusting artificial quality to the audio that it was generating. I was wrong. I decided to get this thing due to the overwhelming support I see in the build community for car audio. When I was installing this my wife was completely convinced that I was an idiot, and I was not sure myself. She said. "So its just gonna add more bass" and "why does everything need to be all WHAAMP WHAAAMP?" etc. Following the install I handed my wife the remote, explained that is was NOT a volume knob, and we drove around and played all of her music while she adjusted the knob to her liking. My wife now wants one of these in her car, and in the house. It brings every song that was mastered terribly in the 50s 60s 70s 80s and even Now into the full spectrum for playback on the system that you've invested so much in. It completely changes your relationship with music that you've known so well over the years. This product is ridiculous, I love it, it works, It sounds great, and it 180'd my wife from hating the idea to absolutely loving it due to what it does to her music. (My wife HATES/used to hate) bass) I think that says enough. ... show more

  • Bring out the missing Bass Enhancement, that never was.. and never expected that it is there !!
this is the Ultimate missing Bass Booster.. AudioControl are the 1st originals who perfected a Patented Bass Restoration processor known as the EpicCenter. AudioControl a 40 year history in the business of home and Car Audio***. I remember when in the late 80's - 90's I heard about AudioControl with their extreme custom hi performance and designs of Home, Commercial and Car Audio. I remember my first time seeing a Epicenter at a Car show, there was a Sound off car audio Competition. That got me motivated to save money and buy one for my custom car(1986 Camaro)that I was building upgrades. It had a decent sound system(not the best)it did put out some good bass but when I installed the Epicenter it dramatically change everything, enhancement etc. My Epicenter carried over vehicle's through the years the last was on my 2004 Silverado until it got broken into they stole everything. the thieves where actually rookie idiots. they couldn't use my car stereo deck/dvd player receiver. because i had a removeable main Faceplate controller and they also could not use the Epicenter, Idiot thieves forgotten to take the Bass controller knob. which I still have it. Now with my new Vehicle, purchasing a New Epicenter through Amazon. I'm a Happy car audio BASS Head... NOW for all you SPL Bass heads get the Epicenter !! It will Drastically Enhance and Put out some BASS/ SPL !!! ... show more

  • Interesting concept
It wasn't what I expected but it does more than I expected in the same time. I was expecting it to restore the bass my factory head unit was cutting but it doesn't do that at all. However it definitely enhances the bass in a lot of songs that would normally have mundane basslines. Especially some old school hip hop and R&B. I love that about it. But it will also muck up certain types of music with purer and lower bass lines (EDM) because of the way the technology works. (It adds bass an octave lower than the bass signal it receives) I recommend it BUT have the epicenter knob next to your bass knob to turn down the epicenter effect on the songs it doesn't enhance positively. ... show more
