I read the other reviews here and see that I am not about to write anything unique since everyone has the same impressions. The blades are fine. They are sharp, and I especially like the long serrated one that I use to cut through sourdough. Cuts it like butter. I especially like the overall style of these knives. I got the darker version. Good thing it's Amazon, though, since if the cheap wrapped-plastic handles get chipped, as depicted, you can get a quick refund. You won't be able to do that forever, though, so think long-term before buying these. ... show more

The color goes with anything in the kitchen. The handling is perfect and has some grips towards the top for extra comfort. I recommend hand washing these only. Strong quality, durable, and sturdy when cutting. They are easy to sharpen.

This is a really great looking set of knives. I love the shape of it as I am not a big fan of the angular blocks that take up more room on a counter than they need to. The block spins and is flexible, as the slots are open all the way through and not specific to one knife only. They're not the sharpest knives I've ever owned but I think they are of great quality considering the price point they are listed. The scissors are probably the harder to use. They are fine for chopping up green onions and whatnot, but it's not really easy to cut meat/pieces of chicken with them. Overall, I think they are a great set for the price and if you are looking for a full set of knives at once. The base is attractive and should look good in any kitchen. ... show more

Cheap feeling materials, especially the plastic handles. Blade feels flimsy and weak, though very sharp, when cutting. They do look good, though 1 handle was a bit damaged on arrival. The "block" has no designated space for each knife, so they aren't prefect fits and move freely in the slot. They do work, and will be sufficient in the average kitchen. Overall, a lot of unfortunate negatives. I recommend you try something else. ... show more

The block isn't too large. They look good. They're lightweight. The blades stay sharp for a while. They seem to be well made. They're coated so rust isn't an issue. Altogether I like them.
