I just got my hose splitter and it does exactly what it supposed to do. I bought this particularly for the garden and it has not disappointed me yet. There’s no leaking yet and the only moisture that I find around the hose head is because of my old hose and not because of a splitter. I did find that the on and off valve was a little hard to manipulate Out of the box, but I’m hoping, with constant use, it will become easier and easier. Overall, very satisfied with the product and the price. Now, if only I can get my hands on a couple more of those washers that come included… I will update this review if anything changes. ... show more

    • Sturdy - Must Follow Directions
Good, well built and seems stout. Levers are stiff to use first time, but, work well. PSA: You MUST use the included washers and crank these down tight for a good, waterproof seal - you're not going to get this secured by "hand tightening".

Summary: Parents had an old Melnor that sprang a leak and needed to be replaced. Was hoping these torque required to operate the small/short lever would be low, but it is not. Pros: Good fit & finish; seals well (no leaks). Cons: Valve is difficult to manipulate; was going to use these for my elderly parents, but my mom can't turn it, so need to find something else with a longer lever. Conclusion: 3-stars, at $18 price for the pair. ... show more

    • Works great with out a big drop in water pressure
These are working great for us. Bought them so that we could water 2 areas of our yard at the same time. Thought it might drop the water pressure too much to have to sprinklers going at the same time but it's working fine for that. We tested it and there is a drop in pressure but not enough to make a big difference. Wish I'd thought of doing this a while ago. Saves time. ... show more

    • Difficult to open/close
These are nice brass but extremely difficult to open and close. I saw other reviews mention this but I thought it wouldn't be an issue for me. I was wrong. Excellent splitter, no leaks but don't expect to be able to open and close it without plyers.

    • Impressive quality, pay attention to off/on positions if you want to stay dry
They’re very heavy and solid, and came with extra gaskets, which I liked. The problem that I’m having, though, is despite using the gaskets, it leaks where it meets the spigot. It might just be the fault of our old house and worn threads, but it is annoying. Also, i keep forgetting which direction is off and on, and because it’s only stamped and is located in shadow, I end up spraying myself 50% of the time. ... show more

    • Nice and easy
We needed to set up multiple sprinklers to cut down on the time to water the yard and this worked great! We had to water twice a day because we seeded new grass (didn’t have any when we move in) and it took too much time by hand.

    • Not for women. Shut off valve flippers are too hard to work.
I bought two of these. They're good and solid, they don't leak. The flippers though, really hard to work with. Not worth returning but I hope these loosen up a little bit!
