    • Lock mechanism is worthless -- it doesn't work

If I could give less than 1 star, I would! The instructions are horrible (not clear). For example, to set a personal code, one must "input a new code and press the "A" (C/#) or "B" (E/*) button". However, keypad is only numbers (no letters). Also, while we were finally able to enter a code, the door would not lock. The lock is stuck in an open position. Using the "master key" doesn't help. We were hoping that we were getting a simple safe at a reasonable price. Just spent nearly $100 for a black box that is unusable. User instructions for "any help, kindly consult the local distributor. After sale: any questions, please contact us" and an email address is given. The short size of the knob makes it difficult to pull open. I use pliers to pull open other than that the safe serves it’s purpose.

This safe is perfect for what I needed it for it's very lightweight so it's easier to pick up probably not with everything I have in it but I love it I haven't put the batteries in yet the key works perfectly and is a very unique key so it can't be copied I like that about the key this and the steel reinforced 2 bars are perfect I love this safe and will definitely order another one in the future it came faster than expected and it came at the perfect time when I was leaving to where i needed to move it to in process of moving and was done loading up van and it came so i was impressed with that timing... Horrible instructions. Typical Chinese product with poor English. You have to instinctively know to press the # button after setting the code. The instructions refer to A, B and C, yet there are no ABC buttons…. Compact and light. Maybe not a good thing. There is NO WAY this is either waterproof or fireproof. 1/8” steel with no insulation. There is no gasket around the door for watertightness and there are HOLES in the back of it for the bolts. Cannot be waterproof. I’ve never had a fire burn my house down or experience firemen pumping thousands and thousands of gallons of water onto a house to dowse the fire.
