This product works very well but it’s important to know a few things. First, buy thin sliced bread. Dave’s Killer Bread has a good white loaf. This is not a panini maker so you won’t be able to stuff a lot of things inside. It makes a good basic grilled cheese and that’s about it. If you want to add tomatoes, I suggest microwaving them first until hot. It will help the cheese melt and just makes for a better sandwich. This has No Forever chemicals (PFAS) so it’s a big win for me. My kids love waffles and I’m glad I can use this waffle maker to make them healthier waffles. It’s easy to clean because the griddles pop out. Bonus that it came with a sandwich maker. It’s not that big to use for anything more than a cheese sandwich but I got it as a waffle maker anyway. I really wanted to love this as it's a healthy alternative to our old wafflemaker. I went on a teflon purge and while I love the ceramic replacements in my kitchen, I just cant get behind this one. Too small. Takes too long to cook. Waffles come out 'flimsy' says my husband. We like our waffles with some girth. This thing makes weak sauce waffles that only our three year old enjoys. Every other kid prefers the old cancerous Teflon waffles🙄. So yeah, still searching for an affordable ceramic waffle maker bc this ain't it....cute tho🤷♀️ ... show more

I sadly can't recommend this. I ordered it especially for the ceramic plating as I don't like cooking with Teflon coated products. The first time I used it, the sandwich came out great! However, second use ended in tears. Handle snapped cleanly off as I was closing the sandwich maker, and I was using standard sandwich bread with a single layer of cheese. Nothing big or extravagant.     • Makes good waffles
This was the most affordable of the supposedly non-toxic pfoa and pfa free etcetera ceramic electric waffle makers I could find. Once I figured out the correct amount of mix to put in the iron it made waffles crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sandwich/pocket pie plates are nice as well. It's hard to melt a vegan grilled cheese on a regular skillet without burning the bread before the cheese even starts to melt, but with this... it melts perfectly. I've had it about a week and used it several times daily. I'd prefer the larger GreenPan maker but it's out of my budget and this is a few hundred cheaper and I'm happy they made an affordable non-toxic plate version. ... show more
