This high temperature silicone handle cover works great. Provides a non slip grip on cast iron cookware. It should even survive in the oven (I haven't tried that yet). Got this because i really liked the color and the fit on the cast iron pan is great... unfortunately, the silicone is a little thin, and if you have a really hot and heavy pan, it will torque the metal hard against the silicone so you can't hold it very long until you start to get burned... real bummer... ... show more

The silicone keeps the handle nice and cool. It's easy to take on and off as needed, and if baking at a reasonable temp you can even leave it on is the oven.

Out of the box, or more accurately the bag, I was immediately impressed. They are about twice as thick as the silicone Lodge handles they are replacing. They don’t fit as tight, but by no means are they loose. Very soft and feels good in hand. I’ll update this after more use but, for now, I really like these - especially for the price.
