The media could not be loaded. I decided to use these strips for crown lighting and was impressed at the results. I installed them on the furring strip with the attached 3m tape and hot glued the corners. (I didn’t use the ribbon loop for corners as recommended, but rather made the corners wide so as to not stress the strips). Setting them on the furring strip behind the moulding was enough to diffuse the light so you don’t see the individual diodes. I know Govee says you can’t cut these strips, but you can; as long as you’re mindful of what you’re doing and how these lights work. Make sure you use good connectors and reattach cutoffs back to where you cut them off for the sake of continuity for the lights dynamic modes. Do your research first! But this was my first time ever working with led strips and I had no trouble cutting and installing connectors and extensions without affecting the light’s functionality. I recommend the waterproof connectors from the nighthawk store on here. They’re black and clear and good quality. Make sure to get waterproof connectors for these strips; even if you’re not installing in a wet environment. “Waterproof” designates the dimensions of the connectors. These lights have a water resistant coating and the waterproof connectors allow for that extra clearance for the coating while ensuring a tight fit. The technology and customization abilities within their app is where these lights shine above the competition. Having played with these for weeks now, I’ve only begun to scratch the surface of all that they can do. The app interface is very user friendly, but with so many possibilities for customization; I’m still finding new features and capabilities. My only issue with these was installation given that the light strips themselves are hardwired to the system. I wish that you could disconnect the strips like you can the power supply. Allowing more disconnection points in the wiring between power between inverter/switch and switch/strips would make installation easier. Also offering different lengths of cords for the above would allow the customer to be able to customize their installation and put the on/off switch at the most convenient point. It would also help the customer get a cleaner overall finish without having to hide cords, install new outlets, or have the equipment be an eyesore. These are just a recommendation for Govee’s future designs, but I couldn’t justify it as enough to lower my rating of the product. I have Phillips hue bulbs all over my house and was going to install their version of led strips for my project until I saw the price tag. Govee’s version are a fraction of the cost, without sacrificing quality. I’ve never played with the Phillips led strips, but I really can’t imagine what they could offer that would outperform Govee. Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface to which you stick the lights with soap and remove oils and dust beforehand! I got these as a Christmas gift for the family but left them in a box for a year and a half until I finally got around to installing them. Wow, was it cool when I finally got them working. The setup was about as easy or hard as one might expect. I put them up in my back patio area along the ceiling/roof. The 3M sticky strip on the back side is not incredibly sticky, but it seems to have done the job so far. The lights have stuck in place for over a month now through sun and rain. The lights feel delicate. I suggest being extremely gentle with them and be careful not to bend them too much when installing them. All of my lights work great though. No dead LEDs. The lights are so bright that I turned them down to their absolute lowest setting so they wouldn't be too distracting. The lowest brightness setting is definitely acceptable, but I do wish I could make the lights dimmer yet, depending on the mood. I have two of the 30 ft strips, and their lighting effects remain perfectly synchronized, even after many hours of continuous operation. I used the grouping feature in the app, and I put them on a schedule. It's really cool that I was able to make them behave as a single long light strip where the lighting effects are totally seamless between the two strips. You cannot tell where one strip ends and the other begins with how seamless the effects are. The ability to setup lots of different types of entirely custom effects in the app is really cool too. I have 9 different types of smart lights from five different vendors, and these light strips are probably my favorite out all of them. ... show more

Ordered 66ft and it only took 1 day to get here, but you can tell it’s used and is missing power cord from wall to power supply. You can see the sticky pad on the back of the switch has been on someone else’s wall. Returned and we’ll see if the replacement is NEW not used // Got the replacement and it was a new box this time. Easy setup on app, one thing I notice, make sure your not pulling the glue off the light strip, it tends to stick to the brown paper strip then the light strip. Bright and just what I needed👍 ... show more

I got these light for Christmas 2021, the power supply went out probably due to a power surge and fried a few fuses on the motherboard. Even though the warranty is only for 1 year, this is such a great company that they are sending me another one absolutely free! The lights work AMAZING and the app is great and pretty easy to use. Overall, excellent light strip. Nice and long and integrates well with my other Govee lights. The lights are really bright and there's a good number of LEDs within the strip. Would be 5-stars if based on this alone... then comes the adhesive tape. it's atrocious. it won't stick to a very clean wall and one strip has fallen 4 or 5 times now in 2 days. I've taken some gorilla double sided tape and been able to now patch it so that it doesn't fall. I expect a lot more from Govee and i know it says 3M, but it must be their bottom of the line tape because it can't seem to stick to anything. ... show more
