I’ve been dying to try a bold change for a while now. I wanted to wait til my hair got longer, just in case I messed up and would need to cut it. Then I figured, I’ve taken bigger risks before (this color is not mixed w/ a developer so damage is less risky) so I said, “what the heck? Why wait?!?” I’ve been platinum blonde for a few years now (note: whether you color your own hair or have someone do it professionally, going blonde is a PROCESS! Lightening your hair from brown to light blonde is NOT an overnight process, unless you’re looking for a chemical haircut!) so all I had to do was color my roots, then apply the color. After scouring the Internet for pictures, I decided I really wanted a rose gold tone. I already had a bottle of Artic Fox “Frosé” pink on hand but I didn’t want a “bubblegum” pink so I mixed it w/ a dash of orange (orange will always be the dominant color when mixed w/ pink so use sparingly), applied w/ a bowl and brush, starting at the roots & ended up w/ EXACTLY what I wanted! Haven’t washed it yet but it’s a semipermanent color so I know it’s going to fade. I've had it in for 2 months and it has faded to a pleasant turquoise (I'm about to re-color) instead of a sickly sea-hag blah ugly color. I used this dye on Saturday. It worked very well on my beached hair, but not as much on my medium colored hair. It still came out a very pretty color. I then washed my hair 4 times on Saturday and then once more on Sunday. Even after all of that washing, my hair dyed my over the ear headphones blue when I used them on Monday. The white leather is blue and no matter how many times I try to remove it or what with, it stays blue. Very frustrating since I haven't had these even a month an already they are damaged. Not sure how people are rating this color so well. I’ve dyed my own hair for over a decade all the colors of the rainbow, this is the worse color I’ve ever worked with, did not stick at all. The ION colors are what I normally use but they didn’t have bright orange so I tried this and it was useless on my already white blonde hair. Ended up using ION color after all. ... show more
