If you're looking for the heavy-duty mats you get at the range, this mat isn't going to excite you. What it is though, is a good, quality mat that's light enough to move around yet sturdy enough that it won't move around when you hit off of it. And for the price, it's a very good deal. I had one of "high quality" mats from the range to use as a comparison. That mat sold for $400. It's a better mat, but at 4x the price I stuck with this one. I always miss golfing in the colder months in the Midwest, and going to an indoor practice facility isn't always convenient or economical. So I found this Rengue Golf Mat - 5x4ft 30mm Golf Hitting Mat, and set it up in my garage so I can practice my swing literally any time I want to! It's pretty compact and easy to set up, although, it's much heavier than I anticipated and it was a two person job. I set it up with a net so I can hit inside (make sure you have enough height to swing freely), and plan to use it outside in the Spring until I can get onto a driving range. his is my review for the RENGUE golf mat. This mat is 5‘ x 4‘ size in a little bit over an inch thick. As much as I like this mat I wish it would be slightly larger. I always try to carefully balance how I swing my clubs so that I don’t step off the mat. Maybe it’s a tall people issue. The mat has several different holes so you can insert tees and practice with different clubs. My husband is using it for his golf simulator set up inside. We are not intending to move it anywhere. It will just stay flat. It took a few days from the rolling state to get it all the way flat but that was not a big deal The price of $140 gets sweetened with the current $30 coupon and comes down to $110. They are many competing products on the market ranging from $90-$200 for the same size. This mat gets four stars from me. ... show more
