I love the pre-cut bags. Use them for almost all my sealing. A roll is fine if you need a larger size. I use it for meats that are too large for the smaller bags. The small bags are the right size for me for a portion just right for my family. It takes a lot less time if I do not have to cut and make the correct size bag. Very tough bags. Used a box of these bags to process an entire deer. Every bag sealed. When I cut the bags open to use the meat I had to use a sharp knife, these bags are tough and the seal is strong. I sealed 4 bags with jerky strips and liquid marinade. I smashed the bags, turned them over and over and shook them upside down ( to thouroughly mix contents) and didn't leak a drop. Worth every penny. UPDATE 2019- Got the machine out this year for more deer processing. Worked exactly as it did 1 year ago. Still earning it's keep. Excellent machine. ... show more

This sealer is easy to use. I've just started with it, and it takes a little practice, but it works like a champ. I love to freeze my summer bounty from the garden, and this will do the trick. I tried to skip the step of not freezing the produce first, but that really is necessary. There is enough moisture in most foods that it compromises the quality of the vacuum. I'm not a huge food preserver but I put up a bushel of roma tomatoes in 2lb portions for freezing in the fall. Three seasons so far and still going. Good for sections of whole pork loin, too.

Pros: The bag works as advertised and seals well, just be sure to pull on either corner to flatten the lip. For 50 8*12 it is 50 feet of bags. It is noted that the bags are a bit thinner but by much, they do feel smoother a the air channels inside are denser. Cons: They don't have a labeling area for dates and stuff but that does not take away much from the good points. ... show more

This is my second box of the quart bags and I must say they are very well made. I have never had one lose it’s vacuum sealed and for the price you can’t beat compared to name Brand.
