No assembly directions were included and the chair was a bit difficult to put together without it. There was also a stripped screw that I had to replace before I could complete the assembly. The chair is ok, the back was higher than I expected, but not a problem.

I am not a big fan of writing reviews, but when the product is impressive, i'm more compelled. This chair is so nice. I paid around 200 for my previous chair, it looked nice, but that's about it. This chair is easily 10 times nicer than my 200 dollar chair. Yes most chairs at big chain stores are about half as much as this chair. But this chair is much better. If you are looking for a chair that you will spend a lot of time in, consider comfort, ergonomics, options and so on. When looking at Leather, there are many things to consider. Is it upholstered leather like this chair? PU leather (Fancy wording for synthetic Leather) probably actually a vinyl, Bonded Leather ( once it's worn out, it's trash). You get what you pay for with this chair. It is real leather, Upholstered. Meaning, it could actually be recovered if so desired, it can be rebuilt. This is not a chair that needs to be thrown away after a certain number of years of use. If so desired you could buy it, use it for 10 years, then redo the seat. It can be completely rebuilt. So you go this route and you buy a chair that could potentially last you an extremely long time. Or Buy a lesser expensive chair, that may look nice initially, but it'll end up in the dumpster after a certain period of time. This chair is comfortable for all day use, it's real leather, soft nice leather at that, rebuildable, has good options. I don't regret this investment. Additionally: If you read a review about a guy who says he is 6' tall, and the jack / cylinder is insanely tall, disregard that. Either it really was too tall at one point or his legs are insanely short. Currently, At the lowest setting, my feet easily and comfortably reach the ground. I'm 5'10 and pretty normal proportions of leg / torso length. ... show more

I was looking for a classic style office chair, something warm and comfortable. I first bought a Serta from Tru innovations. It was completely damaged. Next a Lazy Boy Hyland, which seemed cheap, fake leather, wood dents, miss-aligned and lumbar support in middle of back, also Tru innovation (yuk). I did not go for some of the ergo chairs as I did not want the plastic mesh office look....I did not go for this one initially as some of the reviews made me nervous....Feet don't touch ground, not worth money and too firm of feel. I am 5'11 and feet hit the ground fine. The chair is firm, but like others have mentioned, more like a car seat feel, comfortable, but you are not sinking into inches of padding. Very happy with purchase, chair definitely worth money when comparing to other non-leather options ... show more

I have been through several of the $200-300 type chairs. They look great online, but when you get them you realize they have been made with poor quality materials. They start squeaking and degrading in just a month. I work from home and was frustrated with these chairs, so I decided to "go big" and look for an expensive chair. I found this one and am very happy with it. I have had it for about 2 months and so far it is holding up well. The assembly was just like what you would experience from other cheaper chairs. I could tell right away that the leather was legitimate and much higher quality. I would compare it to the quality of leather you would find in the seat of a car - thick and firm, but conforming. The ergonomics are great as well. I am 6'1" and 170lbs. It fits me pretty well. The arm rests are a little wide for me, but I'm a little on the small frame side so a bigger framed person would be perfect. I think even someone with a some extra weight would find this to be wide enough for them as well. The main issue I've had with other chairs is the padding on the arm rests flattens out too quickly. This chair must used closed cell foam as they seem to be holding up really well after a couple of months. I am hopeful this chair lasts a long time. ... show more
