    • Not for business. It's a toy.

The media could not be loaded. I needed a catchy way to advertise upcoming shows, so I ordered this little thing. In my band, I have a hard time remembering to announce our upcoming shows. This little sign does the job for me and looks great on stage. Pros: * The sign powers up to whatever your last display was. * Bright. * Lightweight, flexible, easy to hang anywhere. Cons: * Easy to hack. * No fonts. * App loses connection. * The sticky tape is frustrating. This sign is about the size of a slim smartphone. It's bright (adjustable), so it stands out even against high powered stage lights. It's big enough to be easily viewable from across the room. You can set text to scroll in any direction, vertically or horizontally. The only actual display problem I encountered was that it glitched once, leaving a static bar of pixels; I had to reboot the display. The power cord is long, and it plugs into any standard USB, so I can even have my keyboard player power it up right from his USB-MIDI port. It's extremely difficult to peel the plastic backing off the included sticky tape. If you have anger management issues, I advise against attempting it. Really, I have no issues with the display. It's the Android app that sucks, at least on my Google Pixel 6. (Maybe iPhone is better?) The developers followed no design standards. It's difficult to click the tiny buttons. The emoji set is limited and non-standard. There is only one font for making text banners, though you can choose between bold and plain. You can individually color each letter of text, but if you edit your text, it resets the entire message to random colors. You cannot upload GIFs or predrawn graphics—you have to manually draw everything pixel by pixel and frame by frame. It does come with a lot of preloaded graphics. I did make a couple of animations and drew my own "grafitti" signs, but there's no way to back them up in case of hardware failure. If you switch to another app while connected to the sign, it frequently loses connection and there's no way to reconnect withouth force-closing the app. The WORST thing is there's no security when pairing with your screen! Anybody who downloads the app can take over your sign and display anything they want. I'm just using this for a rock and roll band, so it's no big deal, but I cannot recommend this to any business owner or anybody who can't keep an eye on the display. Just think of it as a toy and you'll be OK. Loading images from the phone to the sign can take some time. Text loads quickly. I will update this review if anything changes. ... show more

I love this little sign! Packaging: This came slightly rolled up in a box. It wasn't rolled tightly enough to damage the sign, but I would have preferred the box be sized for the sign. It works, so it all worked out. It comes with the sign and the cord which detaches from the sign, as well as a roll of double-sided tape. Installation: You put the double-sided tape on the sign and stick it to your windshield (or whatever you're attaching it to). The cord ends in a USB plug, so you'll need a spare USB socket in your car, a USB cigarette lighter adaptor, or an external battery. I ran a USB socket to the vehicle's power (on a fuse, of course), and ran it long enough to meet the USB plug for the sign. This will be tucked up in my headliner so you won't see any of it. Use: The app recognized the sign and connected right away. There are a ton of graphics and animations pre-loaded. You just find the one you want, click it, it takes 5 to 10 seconds for it to load to the sign, then, voila, you have a dancing crab (my go-to). I have two of these signs, one on my front windshield, one on the rear. Why? I've always wanted an LED sign in my vehicle, and at one point was considering building one. I just love having a random graphic up while I'm driving. A bunny for Easter, a shamrock for St. Patty's, etc. Conclusion: This is an awesome little sign.
