One of the most comfortable chairs I ever sat on. I used to go through chairs every few years due to the leather ripping and getting worn or broken pistons as I like to rock my chair. I really wanted to find a good comfy non-leather office chair which was hard to come by. I was browsing Amazon bestselling office chair and found this beauty. It met all my requirement of mesh, recliner and oversize fit where I can lounge in it. Installation was straight forward. it took about 30 minutes and the fit and finish was top notch once completed. Chair felt very comfy and supportive while using it daily for 8 hours plus. I am able to recline and lounge if I just want to sit back and chill. I am very satisfied with my purchase as the chair felt solid and robust well worth the premium price. Customer service was great when I reached out to them for shorter piston which allow me to sit lower and smoother gliding wheel. I hope this chair will last compare to my previous chair. This is a bit long, but maybe will help someone. The chair is great. I have been looking for a chair for several months, and finally settled on this one. My only hang-up was that I really wanted genuine leather, which this chair is not. The chairs with genuine leather are either (a) priced well over $1k, or (b) are cheap junk. This chair replaces my old, genuine leather chair, that was less than 3 years old. Unfortunately, it fell into the "cheap junk" category, as I came to find out. I had ordered that chair, just based on the leather...and in fact that is the ONLY part of the chair that held up. I replaced the base when it broke, replaced the hydraulic lift when it broke, and had to re-work the arm rests so they would stop falling off. The sides and back were also deteriorating...so quite literally, the ONLY "good" part of that chair was the actual leather itself. So, apologies for the back story, but that leads me into the review of this chair. In putting it together, I could easily see that this chair is hands down much more well-made than my old one. The base of the old one appeared to be a cast metal or some kind. Problem with cast metals are that they tend to be brittle...which is exactly what happened to me…one of the legs broke off with no warning. This chair's base is welded steel...I'm pretty confident it's not going anywhere. Second is the comfort. Lesson learned from the old chair is that if it appears to be thin padding, it definitely is. After a year or so, I had to add more fill to the old chair to keep it from being so "flat.” It was filled with some sort of cubed foam. This chair has the spring-cushion seat, and bolstered back with lumbar support. It is very comfortable, and the padding is 2, maybe 3 times thicker than the old chair. While the covering of this chair is not genuine leather, it does have a very good feel, looks to be of high quality, and is breathable - which would have been my biggest complaint had it not been. The arm rests are generous in size, and fit comfortably under the desk without hitting. I probably could have done without the footrest, but suppose it may be nice to have at some point. The tilt features work very well...plenty of firm resistance, but not so much to force you up straight, or be horizontal with a simple lean back...the tension is just right. Putting the chair together was easy...took me maybe 30 minutes, and half of that was easily spent just unpacking all the parts, as they were well protected in the box. I would agree with what some others have said about needing a second set of hands with getting the back on. I managed okay, just me, but probably should have had my wife come help...but you know, men can do it all on their own... So, all in all, I'm very happy with this chair, thus far. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time...if I can even get three years out of it, that's okay...I feel a lot better about getting a $2-300 chair every 3 years, than I do about spending $700+ each time. You name it I've tried it. Corsair, Vertagear, AK Racing, Razer, Autonomous Ergochair, etc. All in a foolhardy effort to find the perfect "Gaming Chair". Well- the answer is to not shop for a "Gaming Chair" and instead to shop for a CHAIR you game in. This EXCEBET big and tall chair meets and exceeds every quality I had shopped for after pouring over countless Amazon listings and Youtube reviews regarding seating. The cushion is the real star of the show as far as I'm concerned. SUPER thick premium feeling PU Leather that DOES NOT bottom out. It literally feels like sitting in a high quality recliner or sofa. I'm 5'8 200lb and this chair supports me and my weight and fits me like a glove. The headrest is plenty tall allowing me to lay and recline all the way back with my head and neck fully supported. Speaking of reclining, this chair goes back and allows you to LOCK the recline/tilt at ANY degree. You can recline all the way back, lock it, put the foot-rest out, turn on a movie and try not to fall asleep. The arm rests are also excellent and fully padded on the top as well as the sides. The movment on the armrests allows them to be raised or lowered 3-4 notches giving you a great deal of customization and allowing you to clear your desk. However, if the chair is not able to clear your desk and/or you find the seat too tall- the company advertises a smaller and shorter gas cylinder. Other areas of comfort include one of the most plush and cushy back cushions I've ever rested upon; as well as the seat being uniquely formed into sort of a "saddle". It really does cradle you while also allowing you to sit forward and cross legged if need be. Assembly was incredibly simple, straight forward, and without problem. Tools and hardware are all included, and I was able to have the chair fully assembled and functional within 15 minutes. 100% I would choose this over a complicated "ergonomic" chair with knobs and levers that introduce potential future points of mechanical failure. 100% I would choose this over a gaming branded, stiff as a board, non-existent-padding, "Bucket Seat" type chair. Buy it. I am BEYOND impressed. ... show more
