don't normally write reviews. was skeptical because i have some slightly odd shaped knives, some cheap and some more pricey. I bought this double pack and a 9 pcs assorted set from the same company. there were a couple of knives where the cover fitting wasnt ideal. sometimes there was a lot of excess sheath or the handle would prevent the cover from sliding completely down the blade. surprisingly the sheaths are easy to cut with a good pair of kitchen shears. i only needed to cut 2 and now i have perfectly ''customized'' covers to fit those awkward blades. i do wish there was some sort of lock like a saya or something. would make it easier for me personally to pull my knives out of my bag without risk of taking the sheath off ... show more

I'm very pleased with this cover as it fits my butcher knife/cleaver to a T, and it has a thin layer of velvet for extra-added protection. Worth the $10 I paid for it, and it makes it safe to reach in to my drawer to grab my knife without cutting my hands/fingers!

Bought the cleaver and needed a way to protect it. I didn't spend much time researching my purchase but it turns out to be fantastic for the new Chinese cleaver. Well made and fits securely. The felt lining gives it a little friction to hold it in place.
