    • Good chair, but it wobbles
It's a good chair, but I can't seem to get the seat and the base to connect in a way that doesn't leave it a little wobbly. It might not be noticeable to most people, but our floor isn't level. We haven't looked into a new chair because it is comfortable, though.

When finally assembled the back could not be adjusted to not tilt back. In its forward position it was not vertical enough for proper seated posture when working at a desk-which is THE PURPOSE of an office chair. During assembly, over 50% of the bolts stripped the threads so easily due to being soft aluminum not durable steel. Requires a trip to hardware store for 6.0x1mm x 20 steel cap head screws. If the c h i n e s e manufacturers provided a quality product I would not be writing this poor review worth zero stars. The 707 phone number for tech support is not answered. The cushions on the arm rest are not well made. After a week of use they do not bounce back. I now have an uneven arm rest.

Personally, I hate arm rests. Like, when am I not using my arms? And do I ever think to myself "Oh, jeez. Where am I going to put these arms I'm not using?" No, I don't think I do. I do like to put my feet up on the chair and sit on 'em, though, like a barbarian, and those things get in the way of that so, big surprise, I did not install the arm rests. If you do like them, the arm rests are highly adjustable. They move forward and back, up and down, and twist from side to side. They're not particularly plush, but your arms probably don't weigh that much. The seat cushion is firm, not particularly soft, and I can feel springs so the padding can't be all that thick. At least when it's new, though, my rump seems to agree with it well enough. If you need lumbar support, you got it, though if you don't need it you may not be able to adjust that support out of your back far enough for your total comfort. The assembly is pretty standard for these and easy enough that if you've done it once, you probably won't need instructions. All parts and tools are provided, though I used a drill with a slip clutch to make sure I got everything tight but not too tight without all that wrist work. The wheels are a bit hard to get on if you're built like a stick, but you can still shove them on with two thumbs between the wheels if you push straight in. Takes some elbow grease, though and your thumbs will smart for a bit. It's better for people who need more lumbar support than I do and love arm rests, but even so it's still more comfortable than other chairs I've paid good money for. Seems pretty solid, too. The only parts that flex are the ones you'd want to. There aren't any cheap plastic structural components that bend or flex under my (admittedly small) weight. The mesh back rest does flex and conform, but I find this comfortable and I imagine most other people would as well. ... show more
