  • Table Top Popcorn Popper
Size: 3-Quart Color: Mint
Pro: easy to clean, easy to use, you pour the oil onto the plate with the what looks like two prongs that will stir the popcorn, add the popcorn kernels and close the lid turn it on and wait for the popping to stop. Cons: the cap that goes over the vent called a cup I filled it just single level of kernels and poured it into the oil and it was too much. So you're going to have to measure it so that you are adding the right amount of kernels. So why does this matter? Because if you had too many kernels when it starts popping it'll pop the kernels lifting the lid causing oil and popcorn to spew everywhere. I made the mistake of using the cap called a measuring cup to measure the kernels and when I added it to the popcorn popper and turn it on and this is exactly what happened. It spewed hot oil and unzipped popcorn onto the table as it continued to spin the popped corn lifting the lid. I burned myself slightly trying to push the ON/OFF button because some fine hot oil landed on my hand. So it's helpful to plug it into an extension cord so that you can easily unplug it if it goes crazy like mine did. Other than that it was pretty easy to use the cap served as a plug over the vents after you're done popping the popcorn not during it because the vents need to be left open for the steam to escape. The bowl was single adult or several children sized. I didn't have a problem except when I used the measuring cup/cap for the kernels. I think next time I'm going to use a measuring cup and try to see how much that cap holds and then back it off a bit and I recommend you do the same thing too. Overall, with a few tweaks, it is actually a pretty good popcorn popper. ... show more

  • Easy to use
Size: 3-Quart Color: Red
This popper is kind of flimsy but that makes it easy to invert to get the popped corn into the bowl - but be careful the handles are close to the hot area. I popped 3 ounces of kernels that I knew were on the old, stale side and only about 5 or 6 did not pop. It's pretty fast and very easy to clean. Do not use the "measuring cup" use your own measuring spoon. Also that measuring cup which doubles as a lid is pretty tricky to remove once snapped into place. So even with its flimsiness etc. it does make good popcorn quickly. I used Flavacol and coconut oil - - I am sure the nutrition nannies will be upset with that but who wants dry tasteless popcorn you might as well eat a piece of tree bark. ... show more

  • Great Little Popcorn Maker
Size: 3-Quart Color: Red
I receive this yesterday and have already made two batches. Both came out perfect with only a couple of unpopped kernels. My first batch had a few burnt pieces but that was on me. I didn't turn it off quickly enough so you need to definitely listen for slow down. My first batch I used ghee and my second batch I used olive oil. Didn't taste too much of a difference. Both batches were light and fluffy. Love it. It is very easy to clean too. I want to add, after making many many batches, is to use a brand name corn. My first batches were store brands then I got a brand name. The kernels came out much bigger and seemed to be less hulls. Store brand or name brand corn, this is a great little machine. ... show more

  • Pops ALL the kernels !! Quiet!
Size: 3-Quart Color: Mint
My mom LOVES this and says it ACTUALLY pops ALL the kernals which didn't happen when she did it old school on a pan on the stove. I read too many reviews (especially on those small cheap little ones) that they don't pop all the kernals. This was the only one I found that had reviews saying it actually popped everything. And I can say it DOES. I watched it in action one night when my mom made her nightly popcorn, and it was cool how the metal wand spins the popcorn around slowly with the oil. Suggestions: I wish the plastic bowl was a bit thicker. I felt like when I was washing it, it would have cracked if I didn't set it on the sink surface to clean. It's so thin /flimsy my mom is afraid to use it as a bowl like the product says you can. You can kinda feel it "bend" or be pushed if you grip it just a little bit hard. - I wish the bottom part fit INSIDE of the bowl for better storage. There's a maker that looks just like this called a 3-in-1 where they advertise the top bowl part of the machine can be used to store the bottom part of it (and you have to pay SO much more for it to do that ;( ) I thought I could do it with this one. I tried and the bottom part KIND of fits inside of the bowl but like i said, the plastic bowl is so flimsy mom& I were afraid it would just break. It would be really nice if they made it sturdier and fit just right so it was less storage space !! I also read some machines are LOUD and noisy (mostly with those small cheap ones I read that in the reviews). This one barely makes a noise. All you hear is the kernals go "pop" which is to be expected. I guess it's better to spend a little more for something that's effective. ... show more

  • It's a great machine.
Size: 3-Quart Color: Mint
Once you get the proportions right, the popcorn is light and fluffy. Almost all the kernels pop, very few "clinkers". It has only two very minor problems. The power switch is one you have to push in. This means you must use your other hand to keep the whole thing from sliding across the counter. And since the base is hot... Second, the cover of the steam vent/butter drip space is used as the kernel measure. Getting just the right measure is difficult, because a single layer of kernels is too little, and if you round the measure too much, the popcorn lifts the lid and popcorn goes everywhere. It also would have been nice to have an oil measure. But overall, very pleased with it, and loved the on-time delivery. They say you don't have to preheat the oil, but the corn is much lighter and fluffier if you heat the oil for a minute or so before adding the kernels. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Solid Popper
Size: 3-Quart Color: Red
This popcorn machine was only about 25 bucks so I had moderate expectations. It surprised me! It was easy to use and really a nice product that makes good popcorn. One tip: Both for safety and a good habit is to use the unplug before loading popcorn and oil, plug in and unplug when done before flipping it over into bowl and enjoy! The instructions emphasize the plug habit to avoid any heat injuries. Once unplugged I just flip it over into the bowl/lid and ready to go! Easy to clean and lightweight. Simplicity is a good thing. ... show more
