We're going to be remodeling a condo we have and as part of that process I'm going to be installing ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms. So, I ordered this one since it has a nice clean-lined modern aesthetic as compared to so many of the frump ceiling fans out there. In person, this is an attractive ceiling fan. The blades are all wood with a nice finish on them, though to my eye they have a bit more of a burgundy tone to them rather than the warm brown I associate with walnut. Nonetheless, it's looks pretty good with the rest of the fan being black. While I haven't been able to install this yet, all the parts seem like they're pretty good quality. The only drawback I've noticed so far is that there doesn't appear to be any easy way of hardwiring this into a more traditional ceiling fan switch; you can only control this via the remote. That's not the end of the world, but if the remote gets lost or dies, then you're sort of up the creek... Once I install this, I'll update my review in terms of how this fan performs. ... show more

Love the fan - recommend it - remote condoled - bells & whistles - BUT the last step of clipping the light in place could not be done - was going to send it back - my clever tech neighbor couldn't do it either, till he finally figured out it slides in place vs clips in place - save the frustration & enjoy this fan - my wife loves it too. ... show more
