We were looking to replace our covered patio fans and this one became a contender because of the styling. It also has solid wood blades and is wet rated -- both things we wanted in our new fans. We decided to take a chance due to the coupon being offered at the time as well and picked up two. The fans look great! They are quiet and move plenty of air. The fan has a 'breeze' mode where it picks up speed and slows down in intervals giving you a nice breeze -- I thought it was gimmicky until I tried it and honestly I love it. The light temperature is easy to set, but it does reset after you cut power to the fan at the wall switch. I found the easy way to not do that is to just not cut the source power. We just use the mounted remotes to control on/off and the fan remembers all its settings. Installation went well except there is so little space for the wires and the reciever. This isn't unique to this fan, most modern fans seem to want to optimise that space so you might be squishing your fingers some to get it all in there but it is doable. The first fan installed perfectly balanced, the second one required use of the little balancing kit. That can be a little annoying to do but that's not unique to this fan but something to watch out for. Overall it's a really nice upgrade from what we had, and modernized the space without breaking the bank! I also like how easily the blades come off and have no metal features. In the future I may take them down, sand and restain to another color to give it a more custom/elevated look. Similar products are out there were much more expensive so considering cost and everything, I am really happy with this purchase! ... show more

I received the product and it was packaged well and came undamaged. The instruction booklet seemed like it needed an update. Two minor upgraded components not in the instructions. They added a little decorative sleeve to cover the housing gap on the mounting pole. Easy to figure out without it being in the instructions. I am experienced DIY person and it took awhile to install. The instructions kinda skipped over the whole wiring part, which included wiring the remote receiver to the fan motor. Luckily the wiring was properly marked and orderly when you sorted things out. I bumped up the wire nut size for my incoming power connections. Once installed the fan worked perfectly and looked great. The fan is quiet. Downside: No way to control the fan without the remote (don't break it). I would recommend this product and would purchase it again. I love the real wood blades on it. If you are not experienced DIY and not familiar with light electrical wiring, I would hire someone to install it or find handy friend. ... show more

I purchased these fans solely based on the high ratings, with plans to install them myself—despite having no knowledge of fans or electrical work. When I opened the box, I was immediately overwhelmed by the number of parts, and the installation guide wasn’t very clear. I reached out to the company, and they responded quickly, offering help with the assembly. After a few exchanges, they guided me through a smooth installation. I bought 2 of these fans to replace a couple of quite old ceiling fans in my family room. They look great and operate very nicely. Very quite and move a lot of air. Seemed to be perfectly balanced since there is no wobbling of the units even on high speed. The lights put out a lot of light and can really light up a room. I wish there was a way to dim these way down but there doesn't seem to be. I really like the "natural breeze" setting of the fan. This ramps the fan speed up and down so it isn't a constant wind blowing down on you and more of a natural breeze. I had an issue and contacted customer service. They responded quickly to resolve my issue. Nancy did a very good job helping me. The documentation (manual) is pretty worthless. Their translation from Chinese to English didn't go well at all. I found just assembling the fan by looking at the picture in the manual was the most straight forward. Assemble the entire unit on the floor or on a table and then hang it from the ceiling bracket. The fan isn't very heavy and easy to lift. After installing these fans they would randomly turn on even though I didn't command them. I contacted customer service and they said this was a "burglar alarm" feature. They tried to tell me how to turn this feature off but it didn't make any sense. I tried many, many combinations of remote button presses in conjunction with cycling the power. Nothing worked. Finally I tried turing the fan on using the "natural breeze" button on the remote and then after several minutes turned the fan off using the "all off" button on the remote. This seemed to do the trick! No more random turning on of the fan!!! ... show more
