Lots to love about this. You can hook it up as a regular light (the old style fans need different wiring). It's not very heavy. It is VERY close to the ceiling, which is great for us because we have limited ceiling height. The fan works well enough and the light is very pretty. You can control it all by remote control (dim, change light color, reverse fan, etc.). We had a slight issue with one fan part and the seller made it right immediately. We actually bought two of these and plan to purchase a third because they are quite nice for the money. Really pretty fan. This fan is rather small but it puts out alot of air! I put it in my bedroom. It was rather small as my bedroom is large but it cooled it well anyway. Remote control worked perfectly.

This fan squeaks and squeals at every speed - in both directions, in spite of being installed correctly. If you are sound sensitive, this fan is not for you. I'm a year into this fan (it is a replacement because the first fan would not turn on after installation) and I'm shopping for a different fan entirely. Do not waste your time or money on this. You are better off nailing a box fan to your ceiling. ... show more

I love this light! We have a lower ceiling in our bedroom, so we couldn't have exposed fan blades. The remote is easy to use (lots of functions/options), the lights can be adjusted for brightness, and warmth of color. The fan is quiet and has easy one button for forward, and reverse functions, adjustable speed. The wind mode is my favorite- it fluctuates fan speed to create great air movement in the room. The only thing I don't like is in a smaller room the lowest dim on the warmest color light is still very bright, however we are using it in a small/ medium sized room with a lower ceiling, I feel if we had it mounted in a larger room with a standard height ceiling it probably wouldn't be too bright. 6 fan speeds. On the highest you’ll hear it.. sounds like a stand up fan on the middle setting but has the power of the highest. Would not necessarily recommend to keep a large room cool, but will hold it’s own to circulate the air. It’s quite enough to allow me to sleep through the night with it on and I’m a pretty light sleeper. I love that you can change the color of the light from warm to cool. The brightest cool is daylight - it’s very bright! The lowest warm is perfect for winding down at night, but not wanting to be in the dark. The ring and blades Are plastic, but it doesn’t look cheap, in my opinion. You can’t tell what it’s made of when it’s turned on. Honestly, if you were to walk into the room during the day with it off, you wouldn’t immediately notice it’s plastic. If you’re in a budget, this is perfect. I also love that it doesn’t block the view to my tv like a standard ceiling fan would have. ... show more

Putting it together was easy and installing does not take a genius. But when dealing with electrical you need to know at least what color goes to what wire.. I only have black and white wire.. we only had a light fixture in the room without the fan.. so this fan worked out perfectly because with a actual Ceiling fan we would have had to do a whole rewire.. the way this fan is set up is more like one you would plug in.. So you don't need the "green wire" I believe.. so we wired the black with black and the white to red.. my daughter absolutely loves it.. the fan air seems to just blow down, and not circulates like a normal one does.. but definitely cools down the room... If you have a light fixture. And don't want to rewire your house just for a fan, this is the perfect product. ... show more

I like almost every feature this fan has. Except, when your home loses power temporarily and then comes back on. The light turns on the brightest possible setting, like the police shining a flashlight in your face.
