The things I like most about this fan are 1) It is super quiet running 2) It can move a lot of air if you want it to and 3) The light color and brightness options. I replaced an older fan that made annoying noise as it ran, this one is totally silent. There is one thing that is a minor negative, when you turn it on it makes and audible "click" from the fan. But that is really being nit-picky. I had no trouble with the installation. I especially like the way the power and ground wires have screw in connections instead of wire nuts. The fan looks really modern and cool, and I have received many complements on it. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again for sure! ... show more

Absolutely love this fan. I purchased my first one a couple years back and it is the version that does NOT have a dimmer function. Love how much air this fan moves and how quiet it is! … now with my second and third fans … that do have the dimmer function… I switched out my original one that still works just so I could have the dimmer function. Once I had it all up and running I noticed that the top speed is not as strong as it used to be. This is a bit disappointing to me as I loved how much air it originally moved. Upon doing some research, apparently, the dialed back the motor settings because some people complained about how strong the fan was. I wish they did not do this. Or maybe in the future they can dial back the first few settings for those people that desire the amount of air that a fly makes when buzzing past you and keep the airplane prop level 6 at max speed for those of us that live on the surface of the sun (aka Phoenix, Arizona) and want that blast of cold moving air to cool us off in 15 seconds flat when we are working on landscaping our yard in JULY and it is 117• outside … in the shade ! … I am keeping my original max air power model to use in another room when I have recessed lights installed that can be dimmed so I won’t care about the lack of a dimmer on the fan light anymore. As for my two new models with dimmers, they ware staying up on my ceiling as they are still a streamline, clean, modern, all white fan that will easily blend in with the ceiling when I paint it white. Three smooth plastic blades are very easy to Dust and they do not catch as much dust as other fans because they are so slick and smooth. They also added two small drain holes in the light housing. This is likely for when the fan is mounted outside and might receive some condensation from humidity? Maybe someday they will bring back the super charged motor model … if so, I will buy many! If not, I would still buy the current model again. I plan to buy another one for my patio in all black to match my door hardware. Also, love that the packaging is molded cardboard and plastic protective bags. Bags can be recycled at the grocery store and cardboard can go in curbside recycle! (Other products that are shipped with molded styrofoam are not recyclable at curbside pickup!) Love love love! You will not regret it ... show more

Quick recap: Pros Perfectly quiet and in ZERO noise on low. On high both fan noise from air displacement and a very slight hum from motor. Moves plenty of air in a 12x14 room on low (master bedroom so don't need a wind tunnel) Cons Not the easiest install I've ever done. Light both not dimmable nor able to operate from wall switch. I really don't like to be tied to a remote control for my fan. We don't use the light often so we'll live with it, but now I have a dead wall switch. It truly is completely silent on low - love that. I'm a very light sleeper with a slight OCD issue when it comes to noise so zero noise is a blessing for me. I've install probably close to 100 fans in my life (I'm the 'dad' everyone calls to help) and this was not totally easy. If I was able to use the longer downrod there would have been more room to maneuver, but in the end it was not the worst thing I've ever done. The instruction are better translated from whatever county's language it came from than the usual and there is a couple confusing steps that are not part of the plan (on the light fixture section) but most anyone should be able to get thru them with patience. If you start to get frustrated remember dad rule #1 - step back, grab a cold one and go slow. It will get done. Love the style (we got woodgrain). We have had custom bedroom furniture made and it is a natural finish Birch wood - complements very well. The pics here are true to the color received. Overall, I would probably order again especially if I can get the light to work off the wall switch and becomes dimmable. IMO those two items would more than offset the install challenges making a perfect unit. Be well. ... show more
