That could have just been my fault tho because I was doing blue and purple at the same time and they all kind of just blended together but the purple showed up. I used lime crime geenie purple and mixed it with this brands purely purple than did streaks of pink and blue the blue in this brand showed up, but it fades FAST. *Edit* I decided to do the whole head, in the Plushy Purple (magenta violet depending on starting color) vs wander about with lavender splotches. Still comes out to ruin any towel you use to dry . The color is beautiful perfection, & I’m so in love! Happy ending to a terrible beginning* the colors do fade pretty quickly, but overall seem to compare to most permanent brands! ’ve been searching for a semi permanent coloring that would actually hold to mine & my 5yo daughters hair without damage. We have tried so many big brands & the color doesn’t deposit. (Fresh shampoos no conditioner even, I’m talking naked hair to a crispy level still no color sticks). I decided for the price I’ll give it a shot, it’s not any real $ to lose. I did the underneath of my hair with this gorgeous plum color, expecting nothing, hoping for a nice tone on my already dark brown underneath hair. I rinsed in cool water, it ran clear. I dried my hair, the shirt I used turned pink. Back to rinsing. I repeated this 3x! At this point all the color has washed out of my brown hair, & now my blonde is lavender. This product doesn’t wash out. It just keeps running, & running, & running. I kept my hair separated as I always do for coloring & washing but in the end when putting product in thinking I was in the clear after 40 mins of washing… it turns out I’m not & now I’m purple. Including my hands. If you’re not color blocking go for it, if you plan to have sections- skip this because it will run alllllll over your head. ... show more

My hair was very blond and had been for a time before I dyed my hair "Red". It's not the color I wanted but I enjoy how bright it is. It has this pink hue to it, not even the camera can truly pick it up. It's hard to describe but the red isn't like a true red. I refuse to bleach to my hair! It's far too damaging and unhealthy. But I do enjoy having fun colors, especially blue which is my favorite. I sometimes use Ion Permanent Brights in Tanzanite and/or Sapphire, or their semi-permanent Sky Blue. They work great but I decided to give this brand a try because it's a little cheaper... and wow! The color payout is vibrant and fun! I get compliments on it all the time. All I do is work out from my roots to about half way down the length, taking the time to do it in small sections. Then I wrap my hair (which is actually shaved into a long mohawk) in a plastic bag, put on a heat-able shower cap (similar to a hot pack, you just toss the cap into the microwave for 2 minutes and it comes out nice and hot) and let the heat help my hair soak this stuff up. I let it set while I watch an episode of one of my favorite shows, then rinse in cold water before using a color-lock conditioner. The results are a bright true blue that looks great. My hair feels soft, healthy, and undamaged. As my hair has been growing out the past few months, it's now ombre-d blue into black without any bleaching, or money and time spent in a salon. So if you want fun colors without bleaching your hair first, you can use this on naturally dark, virgin hair. But, it doesn't work on hair that's already dyed a dark brown or black. And yes, it works on grey hair too. The secret is using heat after applying, and cold water when washing and rinsing your hair. I've already gone through 2 bottles and am about to order another in Mood of Blue and Ballistic Blue for even more of an ombre effect. ... show more

I purchased this to try something different and I read good reviews and bad. Took the shot. The color coming out of the bottle looked promising but once it processed and I rinsed it out of my hair it didn’t do what I expected it to do. It’s very unreliable when you apply it to lightened hair even though the instructions state it works better on prelightened hair. Therefor I won’t buy this again ... show more

I got plushy purple hoping for a nice plum purple like the picture on the bottle, but it turned out much more like blue edging into purple. I ended up doing a red color over it and it is perfect. The Pros: The color is VERY strong, almost too dark if you leave it on the full time. It lasts for a very long time, like never fades. One bottle was enough for 2 shoulder length applications. Cons: Colors are not the same as pictured online or on the bottle. I have found some color shedding on my pillowcase and a headband that I wore in the rain, but not as bad as some punk brands. As far as I can tell, the purple at least doesn't fade. You will have to cut or bleach the color to get rid of it. ... show more

the color at first is quite bright and it’s pretty good for how much it costs, the only problem is that this dye fades super fast. after 2 showers you could barely even tell what color it was. if your looking for something for a first time dye for your kid this would be good or for like a holiday i guess. ... show more
