It works! It turned all of my purple pieces I had originally had in my hair that was really fading out, back to a very vibrant purple. HOWEVER, the blonde that was in my hair is also very purple. I’m not complaining as I do like it. It stained my nails and my shower purple as well so be prepared.

I'll admit, I was skeptical about this product. I have peekaboo purple highlights scattered throughout my hair. My natural hair is a mid to dark brown. My purple was fading to pink, blue, and white and I didn't want to commit to another hair appointment. My stylist recommended this product. Let me tell you. My hair and pocket book is happy, my white shower not so much. 😂 My purple has been revived to a true vivid purple after just 1 wash. I only used the shampoo. Scrubbed it in real well, let sit a minute or so, then rinsed. Great color. It will stain your hands. 😬 My natural hair did not pickup the purple hardly at all. I bought this product to enhance my color in between trips to the salon. While it certainly helps, the benefit of color comes with some pretty meaningful tradeoffs. 1) It dries out your hair. At this point, you've probably bleached your hair anyway, so it already feels a bit dry, but this product will definitely make it feel worse. If you want to use this product and NOT feel like you have a head of straw, you're going to need some deep conditioning treatments to really bring the moisture back to your hair. Extra conditioner during your shower and long rinses alone are not enough (though they certainly help a little). 2) More than normal breakage/hair fallout. Likely linked to number 1, you're going to see a lot more hair swirling down your drain. I'm always shocked when I run conditioner through my hair after using this product and I end up pulling out clumps of hair at a time. While it doesn't look like I'm missing huge patches of hair when I'm all done styling, it's still pretty alarming to see so much fallout when you're not used to it. 3) The color stains. I mean, of all the tradeoffs, this one is pretty manageable. It's a vibrant color, so you can see when you've splashed some on the walls or floor of the shower---- just tidy up after each use, so that it doesn't really set because once it sets, you'll see a purple stain. 4) The color also stains your fingernails (I never see it on my hands, but my nails always look pale purple or kind of sickly after I've used this product). The stain on my nails typically washes out by the next day, and if you have painted nails, you'd probably never even see the staining to begin with.... so again, this is pretty manageable. Either way, fun colors are a lot of work, and this product can certainly help deal with some of the fading. However, at this point, I'm not convinced that this is the best solution.
