I love using the CeKay Vacuum Sealer V102-A because it has all the features I value and is efficient, so easy to use & really well built! As you can see in the attached photos, it comes with a Quick Start Guide and a more detailed Operations Instructions Manual. I had no prior experience with vacuum sealing and these guides made the process easy to understand and fun to do. The CeKay Vacuum Sealer comes with 2 replacement sealer gaskets. I especially like that the plastic roll used to create the sealing bags is located inside the unit. Simply open the top, pull out the plastic to create the desired size for your bag, close the top and push the Seal button (to heat seal the end of the bag) and then slide the cutter across the unit to detach the bag. After filling the bag with items to be preserved, open the top, place the open end of the bag inside, close the top & press the Vac/Seal button. When the vacuum process is complete (indicated by the lights on the unit) open the top and remove your custom made vacuum sealed bag! I am really impressed with the ease & convenience of using this machine, which is very well engineered and should last for years! You can also vacuum seal using stand alone vacuum bags or canisters because the package includes 2 air tubes with a gray tip to fit over the air valves on the bags or canisters and 3 black tips that plug into the air pump intake on the inside of the CeKay Vacuum Sealer (see picture with top open). The powerful pump makes extracting air out of these stand alone bags/canisters fast & easy by pressing a small black button located to the right of the pump intake hole where the tube attaches. I highly recommend purchasing the CeKay Vacuum Sealer V102-A - you will be very happy you did!! PS - Do not vacuum seal cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower or other cruciferous vegetables. I learned the hard way that these vegetables emit an unpleasant gas and should never be vacuum sealed. ... show more

Updated after one year: Original review is below. I thought my sealer bit the dust a few days ago. It was no longer sealing automatically and the vacuum would run continuously. Frustrated I contacted the company and they gave me a ton of trouble shooting tips I'll post here. Not sure why my issues was but it is now working properly again. Perhaps I had a tiny spec of something on the spongy gasket. Customer service is top notch! 1.Adjust the bag and try again. Make sure the open end of the bag in downside the vacuum channel. 2.Try another new bags, it can't suck out air if the bag have a hole. 3.Check for wrinkles in bag along sealing strip. To prevent wrinkles in the seal, gently stretch bag flat while inserting bag into vacuum channel. 4.Open unit and make sure gaskets are inserted properly and there are no foreign objects, dirt or debris on the upper or lower gasket(vac cotton). 5.Take out the vac cotton, clean it and reinsert the vac cotton around the vacuum channel. 6.If store your appliance with the lid in the lock position, vac cotton may be compressed. Release and allow 10 to 20 minutes for vac cotton to expand. 7.Make sure the lid is locked when vacuum pump is running and sealing the bag. Otherwise, there will be a leak between the vac cottons. Original review: Don’t be afraid to buy due to low amount of reviews. So many to choose from on Amazon but this one had a bag roll storage spot and a built in cutter. Not a huge deal but I wanted it. Love how you lift it open to position the bag and how you can seal pretty much any plastic bag even if it doesn’t suck the air out is things like potato chips or frozen veggies. I picked this sealer since it worked with my FoodSaver containers and mason jar sealers. It does work but you get a better seal by keeping the tube sealer button depressed with your finger—once the tone of the sucking sound changes your seal is done and you can let go. Not ideal but no biggie since these accessories weren’t even designed for this unit. Love how small it is too. Keep it in a drawer and it’s small enough to pull out with one hand. I love this sealer so much more than my auto seal FoodSaver that I had to feed in. ... show more

    • Vacuum Sealer works really well and should save us money on freezing food without freezer burn.
Years ago, my son who lives on a farm wanted a vacuum sealer and they cost around $140 as I recall. , and were a lot bigger and bulkier. It took a lot of space to store it. I wanted a smaller unit to save trips to the grocery store during this pandemic and found this Cekay unit which was reasonably priced and much smaller, so I was honestly worried that it wouldn't work as well. However, the unit works perfectly and is much easier to use than my son's old unit. We bought larger quantities of food at Sam's and stored appropriate sized units for us to take out for a meal. We stored meat and different dry and moist foods. It would probably mess up the machine if you got liquid in the vacuum, so we were careful to only have moist. Then I found the answer for storing wet foods with the vacuum sealer and it's simple: For example we make big pots of soup. Use a small plastic container or plastic bag to hold the amount of soup you want to keep. Set that in the freezer until it freezes. Then stick the frozen soup in a vacuum bag and vacuum it and seal it and it should last for a long time without freezer burn as it eliminates any air that could get to the soup. By the way, the very first time we used it, I didn't know what to expect and was a little concerned as it was doing the vacuum process. It vacuumed what looked like all the air out of the bag and then the motor seemed to increase in sound. Then it automatically shut off. So you don't have to worry about monitoring the vacuum process. It can tell when it's got a tight seal and you can hear it and then it shuts down. We've ordered more bags from Amazon as we used it a lot the first time, probably about 20 bags worth and it never had a problem. ... show more
