  • Remarkable Value!
This is a very useful tool for inspecting the condition of a record player stylus! Images are clear enough and there is plenty of detail with the right focus. But at this price point you just can't go wrong if you are inclined to use a USB microscope for something. I use an old MacBook Pro and it works with the built in program just fine. I think if the lens cap is always replaced after use and reasonable care is taken in storage, one could get many years of use. ... show more

  • Great image, EASY-peasy With a Chromebook - just plug it in and switch the camera (in settings).
It's super easy to use if you have a Chromebook. Just as it says, "Chrome OS - This microscope can be used with the default Camera app that comes with Chrome." Just plug it into the USB on your Chromebook and open the camera app. Then in the app on screen, just switch the camera to the microscope camera. I include two close-ups of a flower as an example. ... show more

  • JUNK!!
The USB plug fell apart the 3rd time using it. Whats the point of the stand if you have to put it against what you are looking at. No good for electronics work at all, unless you just want to look at whats broke close up cause you cant work on it at the same time, no room.

  • The magnifying glass is good (photo and Video is nice). But!
The magnifying glass is good (photo and Video is nice). But I had problems connecting Android devices. The adjustment wheel for the variable magnification was too difficult, so that I always lost my position in relation to my object, because the stand is not very stable either. I sent the magnifying glass back and am now looking for a magnifying glass with a massive stand and possibly an integrated monitor. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
The installation is pretty straightforward, although the design can be enhanced by clearly identifying where each male USB connector goes, as it is very easy to get it wrong: there is one USB port that is used to connect to the PC and there is another USB port that has to be used with the USB male plug that comes together with the audio-type connector (labeled as "Key" in the hardware). You can easily mix them and never get to make the microscope talk to the PC. To put it simple: the one that connects the microscope to the PC goes to the USB port on the right side of the screen. The other one goes to the USB female port located on the base of the device. Once the PC is able to see it, things are simple. ... show more
