I'm a photographer and I do some astrophotography and use a star tracker with my camera. I most of the time use my phone to run the tracker or my camera. It got to be a problem sometimes when I needed my phone to make a call or if someone trying to call me if I was using my phone for tracking. So I started looking at tablets. So I bought this Plimpad P8 pro thinking that it should be good enough to work my rig and free up my phone. After all it didn't cost that much. Well for the price I was really surprised on how good this P8 was. When I received it in a few days after ordering it. It was nicely packaged. When I opened it, I was surprised how good it was. It did not feel like a cheap tablet. It really feels beefy. When I turned it on it was really easy to set up. I think it took about 15 minutes to set up. I was kinda worried that it would not support all the apps that I needed for my work. Well it did and more. So far the Plimpad p8 has preformed with flying colors. It works with my star tracker and my camera. And I found out it also works great with my new Seestar smart scope. This is a great tablet for the price. So far I had no problems with it. So I have not had to do customer service so I don't know how that would be. But if they are as good as this tablet is. Awesome. ... show more

I got this instead of a Kindle (my previous go-to tablet) because I was sick of all the Amazon bloatware and but mostly I wanted to be able to add on software from the Play Store instead of being forced to download software only from the Amazon store. Since it runs on the Android OS, I get that. I use the tablet mostly for browsing the Web when I'm away from my desktop computer, and it works fine for that. The touchscreen works fine, and it charges up fairly quickly. I do have issues with Bluetooth connectivity, I try to use a bluetooth keyboard with it at times and have all sorts of trouble maintaining a good connection. In the case of the Android version of Open Office, I've had trouble with documents crashing as well, but I'm not sure if that's the fault of the OS, the bluetooth connection or the Android Open Office software, so I can't blame the tablet for it in good conscience. Though I will note that my Kindle used to run Open Office just fine and had no bluetooth issues once I had things paired up. The battery does not last as well as a Kindle, it will get me through two days of light use or a single day of heavy use. Seems to drain fast. I've looked for energy vampires in my software but found no obvious culprits. This has not been much of a problem for me, I just charge it while I'm on my desktop, which is often. Generally my experience with the Plimpton tablet has been pleasant, likely because I use it almost exclusively for browsing favorite sites on the Web. I can recommend the tablet unreservedly for people who use it for that purpose, but if you want to use it with a keyboard, I'd recommend getting other people's opinions. I needed a tablet specifically to use as a baby monitor for my two nanit cameras. I had been using another budget tablet on Amazon that was painfully slow and responses to every click took at last 5 seconds. Additionally there was a lag on the video stream so it wouldn't show in real time. I was hoping this one would be better due to the faster processor and higher RAM level. I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly and quickly it runs every app. It doesn't feel like a budget tablet at all. It also looks very sleek and high end, similar a more expensive tablet. I purchased this tablet in June 24th 2024. It was so fast and fun to have at first. It stopped working November 8th while I was viewing the elections (?) What? lasted only 4 months. I noticed that the screen was going black on me and had to reboot it. Doesn't hold a charge and tried charging with other sources. won't turn on. Very disappointed that I need to purchase another tablet so soon. Will not purchase from this company again. ... show more

I got the tablet in July, for the price I shouldn’t expect anything great, it’s easy to use, I love the features like split screen, the weight is good. On the down side it works like a second hand tablet my wifi will just stop working, my Bluetooth will just stop working I have to be rebooting which takes quite some time in my opinion. I was hesitant to buy this at first considering that it have a whooping 128GB storage and at the price that it was labeled, I was like there's no way that can be true, but now that I bought it for my sister's birthday and it came and verified everything, it's an amazing tablet. I was even more impressed when I noticed that it came with a screen protector already and I did not know and bought one in advance but I guess I will keep those in case the original breaks as kids are ruthless sometimes. It also have a one year warranty which you can sign up for by emailing them from the email that is on the warranty card. Camera quality is pretty good to be honest considering that it is just a tablet. Overall 10/10 purchase and I am happy and my sister is happy as well. ... show more

When I got this tablet I was pretty impressed. It wasn't expensive and worked well. Then it started stalling on me. That upset me because that's how my previous tablet acted.
