The media could not be loaded. I got this for coin collecting, it works great! I honestly wasn't expecting much. This was one of the first ones that popped up in my search, so I kept looking at other versions but the reviews on them were pretty questionable. So eventually I finally came back to this one, and I'm glad I did! The price was like 35 bucks I think? It's definitely worth that. The couple of bad reviews on it we're just people who didn't take the time to figure out how to work it properly. It's pretty self-explanatory to use, it doesn't come with an SD card, but you can add one later supposedly, you just have to format it. This works plugged in or unplugged, and the charge seems to last quite a while, couple hours. Not bad for a screen and a light running Non-Stop. The light is adjustable from dim to pretty bright, enough for my needs. It takes a c charger like my cell phone so that's cool. You can actually remove the screen with the magnifying glass part and carry it around and use it wherever without the mount which is kind of neat. The mount is pretty light, and the knobs are plastic, so it's not like professional grade or anything, but it's perfect for what I need it for. I don't feel like it's going to break, but I'm not going to be throwing it around or anything. It seems like the clarity is really good, I kind of jerry-rigged mine so that I can put it up higher. I put some electrical tape underneath the camera adjustment knob and screwed down the mount to it , which raises it another three or four inches in height and shows me more of the coin if I would like. Then to drop it down there's a different knob in the back which takes you as close to the coin as I would like. Honestly it works really well. I should also say I've had this thing for about a month now. I have yet to be disappointed, of course I haven't tried the SD card feature yet because I have no need. A nice but not great display/resolution, excellent focus and adjustability. My only complaint is that sometimes when adjusting focus, the led lights will flicker. I haven't found a particular reason for it, it often just stops doing it all by itself. It's a minor complaint, so only one star off.

I was looking at an invasive plant I found in my area and it does a great job. I will say that it does shake a bit when trying to adjust while looking at something closely but that is to be expected. It is easy to setup (took me 60 second maybe). All the parts fit nicely. The best part is it’s rechargeable so you can bring it with you on whatever adventures you choose. The media could not be loaded. I’ve had a similar one for a few years with a USB 2.0 connector. It started failing after a few years so I decided to give this one a go. Wasn’t sure initially. Needed it to look at some x50-x60 stuff. I am definitely very happy with what arrived today. I think it has enough light, enough magnification for my needs, images, video, battery for portability, MicroSD storage (not included) or USB connector to laptop camera. 2024 is a crazy year. But this is the year I decided to follow all the coin channels and am hoping to find an expensive error. I have so much fun checking for errors can be. But what you don’t realize is that it’s basically impossible to find any errors without a tool like this. So we all know the drill. Did the research and found this. So far so good. Just from the first glance after setting up I instantly got excited, just from turning it on. It’s got a built in light which I had no idea it came with one. All I’m planning on using this for is to find an errors on my coins I’ve collected. With this there’s not chance of me not finding one. Everyone wish me luck on finding something valuable. But this tool hands down is very nice and pretty simple. The only issue I saw anyone have is with the SD card. Weather it’s taking a picture of the image “which is another surprise it did” or when people try to get images off the device? I’m prolly not gonna use that so I’m not even gonna try cuz I have no idea why I would need a picture? That might be the only issue with it but not for me cuz I’m not gonna even attempt to take a picture. So for me this is 5 stars. So if your like me and watched all the coin channel videos and wanna start collecting to find a valuable error.? Then you need to get this too. You won’t regret it. ... show more

    • Meets expectations but I wasn't clear on what I needed

This was easy to set up, and seems sturdy. I haven't used it with a computer because I don't have Windows and don't need to use a computer. I use it to solder SMD electrical components to PCBs. The magnification is sufficient. I wish the screen tilted because if you are at a slight angle to it, the picture isn't clear. That means you have to have a work surface and chair that are just the right relative height. I wish it showed more of the work surface. I frequently have to move the PCB. The clips which I was initially excited about are often in the way if the workpiece is larger, or if it's thin, the clips don't hold the work steady. Along the same line, I wish the camera was adjustable back and forth, toward you and away from you. I wish the work surface was bigger because often the PCB I'm working on is hanging off. The base of the unit is at least half an inch thick so having something at such an angle makes it hard to work. I could always build a new base for it, but I really do wish the screen was adjustable in relation to the camera. This could be the perfect tool for you, depending on what you are doing. I was trying not to spend much money and had never had one of these before so I didn't know what to consider when buying one. ... show more
