The media could not be loaded. I got this for coin collecting, it works great! I honestly wasn't expecting much. This was one of the first ones that popped up in my search, so I kept looking at other versions but the reviews on them were pretty questionable. So eventually I finally came back to this one, and I'm glad I did! The price was like 35 bucks I think? It's definitely worth that. The couple of bad reviews on it we're just people who didn't take the time to figure out how to work it properly. It's pretty self-explanatory to use, it doesn't come with an SD card, but you can add one later supposedly, you just have to format it. This works plugged in or unplugged, and the charge seems to last quite a while, couple hours. Not bad for a screen and a light running Non-Stop. The light is adjustable from dim to pretty bright, enough for my needs. It takes a c charger like my cell phone so that's cool. You can actually remove the screen with the magnifying glass part and carry it around and use it wherever without the mount which is kind of neat. The mount is pretty light, and the knobs are plastic, so it's not like professional grade or anything, but it's perfect for what I need it for. I don't feel like it's going to break, but I'm not going to be throwing it around or anything. It seems like the clarity is really good, I kind of jerry-rigged mine so that I can put it up higher. I put some electrical tape underneath the camera adjustment knob and screwed down the mount to it , which raises it another three or four inches in height and shows me more of the coin if I would like. Then to drop it down there's a different knob in the back which takes you as close to the coin as I would like. Honestly it works really well. I should also say I've had this thing for about a month now. I have yet to be disappointed, of course I haven't tried the SD card feature yet because I have no need.     • Able to visualize specimens on glass slides

- I was worried that the specimens will not come out well because there is no light source coming from the bottom (which is the usual source in microscopes). But the LED lights made up for it. - easy to set up and dismantle to place in the box it came with. I just wish they made the storage box in such a way that you can store the whole system without dismantling it. That would save a lot of time and protect the screws from deteriorating. - you can move the focusing knob to not just focus but also to increase the magnification. - depending on what you will use it for, if it’s for one type of material (glass slides or coins), it helped me focus the specimen faster by making marks on the steel column where I place the black attachment that holds the microscope. - it does not replace a high quality microscope but it’s good enough to quickly see if your specimen in the glass slides is ideal or if you need to make more. - charging is a breeze with the usb A (to plug)- usb C (to monitor)cord it came with. - don’t know how to change the rechargeable battery when it conks out later on. It doesn’t seem to be accessible. If you are looking for a long lasting microscope, take that in consideration. ... show more

2024 is a crazy year. But this is the year I decided to follow all the coin channels and am hoping to find an expensive error. I have so much fun checking for errors can be. But what you don’t realize is that it’s basically impossible to find any errors without a tool like this. So we all know the drill. Did the research and found this. So far so good. Just from the first glance after setting up I instantly got excited, just from turning it on. It’s got a built in light which I had no idea it came with one. All I’m planning on using this for is to find an errors on my coins I’ve collected. With this there’s not chance of me not finding one. Everyone wish me luck on finding something valuable. But this tool hands down is very nice and pretty simple. The only issue I saw anyone have is with the SD card. Weather it’s taking a picture of the image “which is another surprise it did” or when people try to get images off the device? I’m prolly not gonna use that so I’m not even gonna try cuz I have no idea why I would need a picture? That might be the only issue with it but not for me cuz I’m not gonna even attempt to take a picture. So for me this is 5 stars. So if your like me and watched all the coin channel videos and wanna start collecting to find a valuable error.? Then you need to get this too. You won’t regret it. ... show more

I was reluctant to purchase this because I thought that using a microscope to look at coins to be a little extravagant and unnecessary. I have been using a magnifying glass or a jeweler’s loupe to inspect my coins, but this is a great little microscope. The initial set up was straightforward and only took me about 5 minutes to unbox, assemble, turn on, and change its default settings. There is also a slot for an SD chip for saving any images, or it can be plugged directly into a computer via the USD port. Disassembly is easy when it isn’t being used, and it fits nicely into a shoebox for storage. (My shoe size is a US Men’s 11 for comparison.) The images on the screen are almost perfect for inspecting or admiring my coins. I no longer have to find a good light source to see a small mint marks or fuzzy dates clearly because the lights on the microscope are brighter and much more concentrated towards the coin than available room lighting. I cannot say anything about its versatility because I have only had it for a few weeks. I will write that weight-wise it is light, but that can be good or bad. Nobody wants to lug a heavy microphone around, and nobody wants one to break if it were to fall and hit the floor either. This one seems to be sturdy, but there are so many variables that come into play whenever something is knocked over and hits the floor. Suffice it to say that this was a great find for my purposes, and I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in owning a microscope. ... show more
