  • Great amp!
Style: 50 Watt
I bought this amp for my dad as an early Father’s Day gift/birthday gift and he absolutely loved it. He said it cranks it’s loud it sounds great it’s easy to use and I just so happened to get it while it was on a price drop and coupon so I got a pretty good deal on it.

  • Very impressive
Style: 50 Watt
Great for the price. No need for anything bigger or heavier. This is a very gigable amp no question. Built in effects or run it clean. Adjustable wattage output is a cool feature. Unless your playing a big place you won't need the 50 watts.

  • Great amp
Style: 50 Watt
Bought this around 2 years ago and it is the best because of all the built in pedal settings. It connects to my computer with a printer cable with a great sound quality as well which is cool when recording in audacity.

  • The most versatile budget amp out there
Style: 50 Watt
You can play anything with this amp. No, seriously, name a genre and this thing can get it done. Heck, name a guitarist, and I'll bet you can get this amp to emulate their sound. I spent weeks playing this thing without even touching the Tone Studio, and I covered A LOT of ground with the default settings alone. I think the only genres I can definitively say I haven't tried are country and jazz because jazz isn't in my wheelhouse and modern country is just... Ick. But I can guarantee you this can pull them off with the right settings. Once I finally DID set up the Tone Studio on my laptop (which is a bit of a pain ngl), it opened up a whole new universe of possibilities. It's a bit of a learning curve to use the thing to the fullest, but once you get it it's easy to understand. The channel customization is great, you've potentially got complete changes in genre at the touch of a button. If you're a novice who's just starting to learn and experiment, or just a casual player looking for something versatile and reliable, look no further. Granted, you'll never quite get the rich, distorted and overdriven tones of a nice tube amp, but you'll get close enough for government work. Can't recommend highly enough. ... show more

  • Just exactly right.
Style: 50 Watt
2 hours after delivery, i was playing this amp at an outdoor stage in a popular beer garden in a college town. It took me about 15 minutes to scroll through the amps, figure out how the knobs really worked, and I was ready to go. The amp is plenty loud for any gig I’m going to be playing. I had the volume on 3-4 and it floated over a full 5-piece blues rock band jus fine. The only effect i used on the amp was the reverb. I’ve got a pedalboard with all my sounds dialed in, i just needed something that would approximate a Deluxe with a little crank to it- clean channel with the volume almost all the way up and global master volume to control the actual amplitude. The “50” doesn’t accept the larger boss pedal controllers, so switching FX on the amp is gonna be a pain in the Kiester. The fx i did audition sound just fine— maybe later i’lll update to the “100” so I can utilize the onboard fx efficiently. I can’t comment on longevity or customer service, but if you’re looking for an amp that you can take to a gig proudly that will sound very much like your favorite amps, depending on how you dial it in, this amp at this price is a f’n no-brainer. ... show more

  • Versatile, loud, budget friendly
Style: 50 Watt
Got this as an upgrade from an old 30 watt Spider IV that was my very first guitar amp. I wanted something that had a bit more variety and better sound overall. This fit the bill and has suited me just fine so far. I haven’t been able to use the tone studio yet as I don’t have a laptop, but I’m looking forward to playing around with that. I think probably the coolest feature are the different variations of modulations/reverbs/delays built in. There’s subtleties to each and I like being able to create different tones and such. The on board knobs and buttons can be a bit fiddly and it takes some time to get used to, especially banking channels. The sound itself can still be a bit boxy for a modeling amp but it’s still one of the best sounding smaller practice amps out there. My main gripe is the level of inherent buzz/feedback on distorted channels. I primarily play rock and metal and the constant buzz/hum is grating. I never knew to expect that but hear me now, it is a thing! I’ve heard you can remedy this in the tone studio by changing the parameters on the noise gate. What’s annoying and frustrating is that this feature and so many others are locked behind the ability to use a compatible computer. Granted, you can still dial in a good sound right out of the box, but you’re only getting about 60% of the features if you don’t have a computer to run the software, which is a shame. ... show more

  • Great introduction for recording guitar on computer.
Style: 50 Watt
There's not much to say about this amp that hasn't been said. But if you're wanting to get into recording some guitar riffs it works excellent with almost any audio or midi program on computer. I went with the basic 50mk 2 even though every one said to get the 100w if you have the money, because realistically I have no need for all of the additions that are included. I've played this amp for probably more than 50 hours since I got it if not more, and have used only a handful of the features that are included so far. So it's definitely more than enough on its own if you're on the fence between weather you should spend more on the more expensive version. ... show more
