Description

A seriously versatile combo with detailed lows and enough power for smaller venues. Taking elements from Orange’s flagship 4 Stroke and OB1 series bass amps, and with enough power for smaller venues, the Crush Bass 100 is a seriously versatile combo in both sound and application. Using high-end engineering techniques not usually found on combos of this type, the key to the Crush Bass 100’s immensely fat and detailed tone is the amplifier’s 100 Watt output section. The choice of discrete components (rather than common integrated circuits) gives the amp sensational levels of clarity across the entire spectrum, and the internal 15” speaker means that even the most subterranean frequencies come through loud and clear. Coupled to the output stage is an equally powerful preamp. The active EQ section with its sweepable parametric mid band allows players to fine tune the Crush Bass 100 to any style, plus Orange’s ‘bi-amp’ inspired Gain and Blend circuit adds even more tonal variety. These interactive controls add extra harmonic content and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone, perfect for creating earthy vintage riffs or even savagely distorted mayhem, without ever losing the all- important low end. They can also be switched in remotely via the optional footswitch. Along with a balanced line output, the Crush Bass 100 also has a buffered effects loop, an integrated tuner, aux. input and a Cabsim-loaded headphone output for silent practice. From the bedroom to the stage, this amp covers all bases.

I love this little amp! Not super loud, but it growls.

  • Nice bass amp, good sound; nice features
Color: Orange Style: Crush Bass 50
I’m a beginner on the bass after playing the guitar for a few years now. Have a new bass to learn on and this new bass amp does the job for practicing at home. That’s what I’ve used it for so far and all I likely will use it for. Can go nice and loud, volume can go all the way up and play deep notes without degrading or distorting quality. Sure, I wish it could go even louder but probably want a 200watt mega amp too! I usually practice at 50% volume just fine and turn it up when I want a bit more power to the sound. Notes are clear. No static or buzz at all for me. I like that it has a little built in LED tuner right on this unit. You can use it to tune your strings to their correct tightness. Or as a beginner l, you can use it to verify the note you are playing on the fretboard which is really helpful for me. I know a little portable one also works probably, but this was a nice little extra to find. ... show more

  • I drink my Orange 🍊 Crush 25w everyday!
Color: Black Style: Crush Bass 25
Orange of course makes great products and we all know that. But choosing an amp , bass or guitar isn't something you should do by "brand name". I love Orange Amps and their cabinets, heads because of that classic British Rock sound that it naturally gives out and the sleak classy look of their products, also it's the Sound that I am looking for. Definitely make sure you do extensive research on any instruments or amplifiers you seek to purchase. You may want a Marshall because you see all your favorites play Marshall (which is a stellar brand as well) but come to find out that Ampeg is more your sound or you just might like how Orange Amps sounds according to your specific sound, pedals, what you see your music becoming. Don't just buy stuff because it's expensive or has a stellar name. But buy instruments and amplifiers that fit to your own personal sound and vision. Still, with that being said Orange Amps are incredible and the only amplifier that I will recommend. I bought this Orange Crush 25 for practice and light recording and it's absolutely perfect and sounds as good if not better than it's larger siblings like the massive 500w that can pull a house down. So yeah I'm a Orange Amps Man through and through. ... show more

  • Oh Yeah!
Color: Orange Style: Crush Bass 50
I bought the 25, a bitchin' little amp and liked it so much a month later I pulled the trigger on the 50. It's everything I like about the 25 only louder. This will replace a Crate 40 watt amp which is half again the size of this one and much heavier but man, what a difference it makes having a piece of quality equipment. Not to say Crate sucks or anything but this amp kicks it up a notch or two. If space is an issue, well, as you can see in the pic, it doesn't take up much room at all. If you're looking for something in the 50 watt range, this is your next amp. Unpacking it was a bit like one of those Russian dolls. There was a big Amazon box. Inside that was the Orange shipping box. Inside of that was the product box with the amp inside. Well packaged. The Seymour Duncans in The Cat Bass (the Cat always lands on her feet) really packs some punch with this amp. Dialed up some gnarly fuzz and ripped out the opening to "25 Or 6 to 4". Of course the Charvel just sounds sweet on anything. ... show more
