Description

Combines the essentials of a practice rig with tone and features normally reserved for the pros. From warm modern cleans, through to vintage grind and all the way up to full-on distorted mayhem, the Crush Bass 50 combines the essentials of a practice rig with tone and features normally reserved for the pros. The Crush Bass 50 draws inspiration from Orange’s flagship OB1 and 4 Stroke amplifiers, bringing some of the defining elements of each into a compact combo. Like the rest of the Crush Bass range, this 50 Watt model delivers bold and punchy lows courtesy of its analogue circuitry and ported cabinetry. The extremely flexible active EQ section includes a sweepable parametric mid band, allowing players to shape their signature sound without limitations. For even more versatility, the interactive Gain and Blend controls are primed for creating enormous ‘bi-amped’-style tones with ease, adding extra harmonics and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone. They can also be switched in remotely using the optional footswitch. Other handy features include a buffered effects loop, integrated tuner, aux. input and a headphone output with Cabsim circuitry.

I love this little amp! Not super loud, but it growls.

  • Nice bass amp, good sound; nice features
Color: Orange Style: Crush Bass 50
I’m a beginner on the bass after playing the guitar for a few years now. Have a new bass to learn on and this new bass amp does the job for practicing at home. That’s what I’ve used it for so far and all I likely will use it for. Can go nice and loud, volume can go all the way up and play deep notes without degrading or distorting quality. Sure, I wish it could go even louder but probably want a 200watt mega amp too! I usually practice at 50% volume just fine and turn it up when I want a bit more power to the sound. Notes are clear. No static or buzz at all for me. I like that it has a little built in LED tuner right on this unit. You can use it to tune your strings to their correct tightness. Or as a beginner l, you can use it to verify the note you are playing on the fretboard which is really helpful for me. I know a little portable one also works probably, but this was a nice little extra to find. ... show more

  • Great sound
Color: Black Style: Crush Bass 100
The sound is very clear and it has less buzz with single pickups than my fender rumble 25. Very clear tone with a bunch of nobs to mess with.

  • I drink my Orange 🍊 Crush 25w everyday!
Color: Black Style: Crush Bass 25
Orange of course makes great products and we all know that. But choosing an amp , bass or guitar isn't something you should do by "brand name". I love Orange Amps and their cabinets, heads because of that classic British Rock sound that it naturally gives out and the sleak classy look of their products, also it's the Sound that I am looking for. Definitely make sure you do extensive research on any instruments or amplifiers you seek to purchase. You may want a Marshall because you see all your favorites play Marshall (which is a stellar brand as well) but come to find out that Ampeg is more your sound or you just might like how Orange Amps sounds according to your specific sound, pedals, what you see your music becoming. Don't just buy stuff because it's expensive or has a stellar name. But buy instruments and amplifiers that fit to your own personal sound and vision. Still, with that being said Orange Amps are incredible and the only amplifier that I will recommend. I bought this Orange Crush 25 for practice and light recording and it's absolutely perfect and sounds as good if not better than it's larger siblings like the massive 500w that can pull a house down. So yeah I'm a Orange Amps Man through and through. ... show more

  • Excellent amp not terribly loud
Color: Orange Style: Crush Bass 50
I love Orange. Only complaint - not enough power! I almost went 25w. I should have bought 100w. Blend control is very nice and the EQ truly works, tuner is great. Fantastic amp I just expected more thud.

  • Great combo for active and passive basses.
Color: Orange Style: Crush Bass 50
Very well made portable amp. Sounds great, has that Orange tone even though it is a solid state amp. Buy a footswitch so you can use the "biamp" function. It works as a "dirty" channel with the gain and blend knobs. The parametric mid controls shine and the built in tuner seems to work well. The headphone output has cabsim so headphones sound great. As a practice amp this is great. You arent going to play any arenas with this amp and it lacks a balanced output. You can use the headphone jack with cabsim to record. Came with slick Orange stickers with heiroglyph decals and Orange logo decals. These are popular and I had to search to find a supplier that had some in stock. If the color is not your thing, its available in black. ... show more

  • Great amp
Color: Black Style: Crush Bass 100
Tried some other bass amps but this is the product I was looking for. Very clean, great tone, plenty of volume, and very little static and hum—especially compared to the other bass amps I was looking at.
