    • Easy set up!
We got this for my son's birthday, along with a pitching machine, so he could practice his batting without a tee. This works great! He can load 10 balls into the pitching machine and then stand back and swing until he hits them all. The net does a great job of catching everything except a very high popup or wide foul ball. So when it's time to reload the pitching machine he doesn't have to run all over the park looking for the balls. Setup and takedown are super easy and it only takes a few minutes to be ready to go. My only issue is that the side poles slide together but don't actually lock in place or lock into the base. This isn't a problem once the net is set up and positioned, but if it has to be moved at all it's easy for these to come apart. Not worth deducting a star, but something to be aware of, especially if you have need to move this around a lot while it's set up. While it's broken down it travels very nicely in a carrying case that's big enough to even store a bat and a few balls! ... show more

    • Large Net with Good Collection System - Questionable Material
This is a nice large net. When I say large, I mean LARGE. We plan to use it for pitching mainly because of the size as it will allow working on breaking balls without having to worry about too many getting by. We have several other nets that are the sock type. Those are fine, but I do think the collection system on this net is better. The balls are easier to collect and it can hold quite a lot. I would like to see more nets use this style. Setup was super easy. The instructions were simple enough, but it sets up just like any of the other style nets if you've used them before. Basically if it clicks together then it goes together. I like to put the bottom half of the side poles in and slip the net sleeve over it, then put the top part of the side poles on and pull it back up before connecting the loops. You don't have to do it that way, but it tends to make it a bit easier this way. The only reason for dropping a star is the material used for the sleeves feels a little thin/brittle. I tugged on it a bit and it held up just fine, but these nets are going to see a lot of sun and in my experience those sleeves are the first to rip/tear and start to break down. For the price it's difficult to be too hard on this, but just something to keep in mind if you get heavy use and are outside a lot. ... show more

I like this net. It replaced my old one which was more traditional with the strike zone pocket in the middle. This one has a pocket that is the full net. So far, i think this design is ok and i don't see a huge difference. One note is that there clearly is a front and back on the net based on this design. I can't speak to durability. So far it seems to be holding up ok, but the talk test will be a season or two of practice and wear to know how it will manage over time. ... show more

We have a marucci net, and got this to use at the grandparents house and it’s really nice!! It’s a little tricky to put together but I wouldn’t say it was hard. I just had to think for a second-and it’s been super sturdy and the basket part at the bottom that catches balls is so nice. Our marucci doesn’t have that and they often fly back out. This catches most of them and the strike zone fits perfectly. Really nice and the price is low-I’d actually recommend this one over a name brand one since I have that to compare too. It’s cheaper, comes with more and is pretty sturdy! ... show more

I got this for my son to practice pitching. Set up was really quick! The bag it comes with is big enough to carry other gear too, like whatever balls you'll be pitching. My son was using it without the stakes and did topple it over when he threw a 32oz practice softball at it, but other than that, it stayed where we put it! I even tried a round of 12 throws at it. The strike zone is really easy to see when you're pitching. The balls are all collected in the bottom for easy retrieval. Easy to set up and take down. Very nice net for practicing pitching or hitting. This net can be used for softball or baseball. It came well package with all the items listed for putting together and a bag to put net away when finished. Easy to take down and take with you for fun at your friends.

    • If your kids play baseball.....
This is a great net for the back yard. Gone are the days where I have to find baseballs, wiffle balls, and tennis balls in the bushes. I set this up where the kids like to set up their wiffleball/stickball/baseball game in the back yard. No need for a catcher anymore. No more lost balls either! I leave it out 24/7 so its always there for the kids to have a game. Im sure its great for more serious players (soft toss batting/batting off a tee/and even pitching). Looks very nice as well.
