This is a great quality item for a very reasonable price. I plan to use it for water bath canning on a glass stovetop so need to keep the whole thing (water, filled jars) under 50lbs. This aesthetically beautiful stockpot is roomy & sturdy while still being lightweight.

Once a month, I make true Ukrainian borscht for the entire extended family and have so far had to use two 12-qt pots to make enough. This is inconcenient and bothersome from a number of perspectives. With this 24-qt pot, I can now use a single pot. Ukrainiain borscht is more like a heavy stew, in which the ingredients tend to sink to the bottom of the pot, so it's of paramount import that the pot should distribute heat evenly to prevent burning. This pot does the job perfectly and lets me waste less time stirring. It also comes in handy that the glass lid helps watch the process without lifting it unnecessarily often. Good quality pot with lid that's big enough for soup or a big pot of spaghetti sauce with meatballs and sausage. I would have eliminated the lined etchings inside the pot for volume measurements. The black pot is an 8 qt. This pan has lots of room and cooks evenly even thought the burner only covers the center of the pot. If you keep your food stirred it won't stick. Easy to clean when finished cooking. Very sturdy and not to heavy.
