This was a birthday present to upgrade from my atomstack 20 and I love it! So easy to use, packaging was solid took me just a short time to put it together and start using it. I love the enclosure but my only annoyance is because of the case you actually lose a little bit of space vs my atomstack 20 with no enclosure so you have to finagle sometimes ... show more

My first laser engraver and having watched a lot of YouTube Videos I was able to get this working with relative ease on my first day. One hickup was the fan it stopped working, on the great side, Atomstack within hours is sending me another fan so do not worry about customer service. I got this for my baits and as you can see it engraves wonderfully on my baits. I would recommend this and the enclosure is a MUST! Engraving does smoke up a lot. ... show more

    • An incredibly cool and decently powerful laser engraver
At day one, I went from being overwhelmed to fully engrossed in this machine. The assembly process and software setup can be a bit daunting at first glance, but I promise it isn't that bad. Perhaps the one negative point I give this device is that documentation is a bit hard to come by. That being said, there's plenty of resources online for lasers with similar power outputs and you can go from there. I've gotten dozens of hours clocked on this laser and have really tuned the settings in for a variety of materials. You want to do some light wood burning? You can do it. You want to do some deep wood engraving? Oh, you can do it. You want to get some fine glass engraving? Look no further. ATOMSTACK really hit a homerun with this one. Please do not forget to set up the exhaust fan and hose correctly so that all of the fumes are being pushed out a window or far away from your work space. Don't put your health at risk. ... show more

As a person who has never done engraving, I was very excited to get this set up and working. Having this type of device is something that is quiet useful around your home. For making gifts for family, or even branching out to sell at your local market. Out of the box, the engraver instructions were very detailed for the most part to get started. The assembly portion took me longer than it should have, mainly because I wanted to make sure it was done right. But it is not the fault of the product. This Atomstack a12 comes with a camera to allow you to watch on your smart device instead of trying to look through the sheath. This section I found was a bit difficult to understand how it worked, but I was able to figure it out by watching the video on the store page. It should have been in the instructions and been much clearer. Even if you need to add another page to your manual for the price, this should be included. I have tried the engraver using wood, played around with certain designs, found it to be a really fun machine to use, and learned how to perfect my engraving skills. Mainly, the machine makes it simple, and all you need to do is line up the design. The speed it engraves, I guess, is quick, depending on your design and how much detail you have in it. The safety features on the machine put me at ease because I can stop it if I need to, and the plastic shield protects me from the laser light. The machine also has a fan to exhaust the byproduct it makes, which I wish the store page included in the hose size so I could get more of it to extend it to my garage door.
