    • Beautiful chair, albeit a little small

I work from home and want a "pretty" chair. Desk chairs with high backs are so bulky and cumbersome and definitely detract from your decor. With its tufted design, this chair is just very classic looking. Very pretty. I ordered the pink and it's just a lovely touch in my room. My only concern, though, is if this is a desk chair that is pretty but not practical. I have to sit in this chair 8+ hours per day and I'm not sure it's designed for that. Whether it will be comfortable enough for daily use over the long-term remains to be seen. So far, so good; but I haven't discarded my traditional desk chair in case this just isn't a chair meant to be sat in all day. I like that the strong back forces better posture for me. For some reason, perhaps it's the compact design, it straightens me up even more than my high-backed chair. It's counter intuitive, but it's worked well from an ergonomic sense in that way. The velvet fabric is soft and nice but after only a few days I can see where it's going to lightly crease on the seat. I am also surprised at how tight it is. This is not a big chair or meant for a large person. I'm a size 16, but have never had difficulty with my posterior fitting into chairs on an airline, amusement park ride, stool, etc. With that said, though, I don't think anybody with any more heft in their bottom will fit well into this chair. It surprised me. I find it kind of cozy the way it hugs my hips, but others may find that uncomfortable. Definitely pay attention to the measurements to ensure you'll fit! ... show more
