The knife has a nice heft and balance, but was dull straight from the package. It struggled to slice through cooked boneless chicken breast meat. If you have a sharpener, it might be worth a try at the bargain price. I will try to salvage the purchase and I hope the steel will take an edge.

This is one of the better chefs knifes I have used for the price point. It is extremely sharp has great weight and worked well when I used it for chopping vegetables. I am looking forward to using it more in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a quality knife
