I am 5ft tall and my feet do not touch the floor on flights, which causes knee and back aches when I fly. This product is lightweight, barely takes up space in my carry on, and easy to hang over the tray table in front. It definitely made the plane ride more comfortable, but found there was pressure on the outside edges of my feet due to the curvature of the padding when being used. If there was a way to put a stiff board on the bottom of the footrest it would make the product perfect. This little hammock worked great on my recent international flights. It is lightweight and easy to carry in my backpack. It set up easily over the tray. I shortened it even more with a small knot of the straps. I loved being able to lift my feet for a change of pace on the long flight. I tried this product during a 10 hour international flight. The concept is good, but it didn't really work for me. It hooked nicely onto the tray table and adjusting the strap was easy. The problem was when I put my feet on it they were almost stacked on top of each other. I could feel my feet resting on the strap since it runs through the fabric. I could not feel the support of the memory foam. The description says hammock for a reason. I liked having the option to put my feet up and the product seems durable. I'm 4'10 (and 3/4ths!) and find airplane seats so incredibly uncomfortable. My feet don't completely lay flat on the ground so my knees are pulled downward for hours and by the end of the trip I have trouble walking and am in a lot of pain. Sometimes I'm in pain within the first 30 minutes of a flight to the point where I'm constantly shifting and borderline tears. This footrest has SOLVED that problem! I actually flew to Chicago recently and just walked off the plane with the knees of a normal person! Zero pain! It hooks easily to the tray table in front of you and then you just adjust the height from there. Gravity here does squish your feet together, but I usually cross my legs at the ankle anyway so this doesn't bother me, and I'd rather take up less space in my bag with this flexible footrest than having one with a hard, flat bottom. I always struggle with blood circulation when flying. I’ve been using compression socks and they alleviate the discomfort and heaviness on my legs. I took (2) 5-hour flights and used this hammock with the compression socks and I had ZERO discomfort in my legs!! The only thing is that the base is not hard and your feet come together, so had to re-adjust my position a few times. I was able to use this on a long flight and it worked well. I have used a competitor one in the past that didn't work and this one was a pleasant surprise. The foot part stays flat while your feet rest on it. The only issue I had was that the newer plane had a push button to release the tray table instead of a latch. So when your feet are on the hammock the weight of your legs made the tray table come undone and the tray table had to remain open and rest against my shins. The quality at first glance doesn't look great, but it's actually pretty good. It barely weighs anything, smaller than a medium umbrella and yleasy to store. It didn't slip og the seat in frotn and it allowed me to rest my legs during the flight. I had extra leg room so it worked perfect. I'm not sure if it'd comfortably fit in the regular plane seats.
