First let me say I don’t write many reviews. But this product shocked me so much that I had to take a moment to write. I have been using the same brand of dye for a very long time. I thought they are all the same. The brand I normally use is Ion and they were out of the shade I needed so I decided to try this brand. OMG what a difference. I did everything exactly the same as I usually do. I am 70 and have the normal thinning lackluster hair but very little gray(good genes I guess). My normal color is this mousy brown so when I dye it, I go dark brown. It just looks better with my skin color. I cannot tell you how shiny, bouncy and healthy my hair came out! As the title states; this is a great light ash blonde and covers up my silver (not grey, grey is dull mine shines like silver). It doesn't have a strong odor. I've been purchasing this brand for several years and have colored my dirty blonde for 30+ years after getting tired of the sun bleach blonde it gets every summer. I know color, basically they're all the basic same ingredients then companies add there own extras such as biotin etc. This brand keeps my hair in great condition, doesn't cause breakage or overly dry hair. That being said, I also don't do my ends every time, over process etc., and I regularly condition my hair. I also maintain the color. People complain about the color fading, unfortunately colored hair no matter the color requires maintenance, its just a fact and no fault of this brand. If you want to color your hair for whatever reason; it WILL require maintenance. If you don't want the hassle don't color it! People need to have realistic expectations and understand hair color is not a one and done. Everything, everyday life affects the outcome of how long your color will last and the shade outcome. This particular shade will eventually lose its a ash color turning a bit more golden/beige blonde due to washing my hair being out in the sun etc. even using a sulfate free shampoo so I, as anyone should maintain the beautiful color with a toner for maintaining that ash blonde color. Also, be aware not only do you have to do regular maintenance you also have to be aware: 1. Everyone's hair is different (same molecular structure) but different everyday factors, past treatments, environmental and personal care as well as texture. As such, 2. Not everyone will get the exact shade "as seen" in the pictures. Dark hair vs. a lighter hair to start out with and your processing now and prior, computer screens displaying colors slightly different etc. Don't expect your results to be exactly the same, especially if you're not familiar with this shade and/or color processing. So, yes I highly recommend this brand, especially if you have older, grey or silver cover up needs! Just be realistic in your particular outcome and that colored hair requires maintenance and you will like this hair color brand! ... show more

This is my second purchase of the product. I don't have much grey hair, but I used this product (9AA+20 volumizer) to tone down the orange/red in my light brown hair after reading the reviews that there's a lot of green in it. It worked really well, and the color lasted, but to cover my roots after two months, I used 7A with 30 volumizer this time, and succeeded again! I think in terms of color pay off, the description is pretty accurate. You just have to experiment and choose the right color for your hair. The color is beautiful but a bit darker than I expected. If you're between 2 colors (like i was) I would suggest going for the lighter color. I'll be doing that next time I order. Often times when I dye my hair, it will feel brittle and dry. This was not the case with Agebeautiful. My hair feels soft and silky after using it. I had no itching or scalp sensitive while the product was on or even after. I often have a problem with that. The snell is strong but I feel like most dyes have that same smell. Overall I really liked this product and the results I got. I left it on my roots for 20 minutes and then dyed the rest of my hair the final 10 minutes with 10 volume developer.     • Hides those pesky grays!

I have been using this product for over five years as a way to naturally cover up those sneaky gray hairs. The dark brown shade has worked well to hide the lighter hairs that no longer blend in this product works quickly, and I use hydrogen peroxide as the developer it saves time and money as I no longer go to the salon to have a dozen or so hairs colored!
